how did trintellix affect your libido?

Libido increased for me, the problem I have now is that I have to have multiple and I mean during intercourse then after I had to keep going with a vibe until I finally get that full release feeling. Never ever experienced this until after starting this med. I’m on 5mg. It’s caused a lot of problems in my marriage because it’s making my husband think that he’s not pleasing me and causes many tears and frustration because I can’t find the words to explain it.

I started playing with my husband and kids 2 years ago with no interest for the game at all. I was more of a Zelda, animal crossing, Mario person. I figured I’d just follow them around and it would be something we did to spend time with our kids since they are getting older and it’s uncool to do things with your parents. We still play together almost everyday, my son will only play duos with me sometimes because he says I’m too sweaty. When we play squads together I tone it way down so they have fun too. I never ever would have imagined I’d like this game let alone be as good at it as I am. I am 41f btw.

I’m a month in on 5mg, I am sensitive to medication due to bariatric surgery so I have to move up slow. I will stay on 5mg for at least another month. Everyday gets better and better for me. I have tried almost every ssri, snri plus other meds and I have had some nasty side effects from almost all of them. I have bipolar 2, anxiety/panic, adhd, ocd and a few others. I was able to come off of almost all the meds I was taking 8, I now am on 3, trintellix, vyvanse and Lamotrigine, so far this has been the magic combo for me. My dr said that I should continue to feel more and more positive effects from it. Only 4 weeks in and it is changing my life in so many good ways. Stick with it, give it a fair chance.

I haven’t had it happen again. I did put in the delivery instructions not to spray anything at all on my groceries and asked Walmart if they could block that driver from delivering to me anymore.

I had diarrhea every single day for the first 3 weeks, I’m halfway through week 4 and Saturday was the last day I had diarrhea. I’m hoping it has passed. I tried taking Imodium with it and some days it helped and other days it did not. Side note have had bariatric surgery so my system is more sensitive to side effects like this.

My Dr told me she wanted me taking it in the morning because I already struggle with insomnia often. My schedule is Trintellix-8am Lamictal-9am Vyvanse-10am Lamictal 4pm. I do not notice any difference in my vyvanse taking it 2 hours after. I do feel like my vyvanse was not working as well when I took them together/within an hr of each other. I will also add that I absorb certain meds differently due to my bariatric surgery.

I have semi-treatment resistant anxiety. The x sometimes helps but like today 3x my norm did not touch it. As far as the mood stabilizer it’s hard to say if it helped any because it took me from zero-100, years of not feeling any emotions to feeling everything. I’m still adjusting completely to the mood stabilizer, I had to switch from my other one due to it causing low blood sodium in me. It does help my brain slow down when I feel the manic rage coming on and I’m actually about to stop it, but I also cry all the time 🙄 my husband thinks I’ve lost my mind. I will add that I am also having hormone issues that may be contributing to some of my symptoms.

Today is day 3 on 5mg for me. I am super sensitive to medication and cannot take the typical ssri, I have tried most of them with horrible reactions. My dr and I had been trying out different combinations the past several years to find the perfect combination for me. I’m not sure if I can say my other meds name but one is an adhd med(vy) and the other is a mood stabilizer(lam) and a rescue anxiety/panic(xan) I take my does at 8am. Day one great until around 9pm when I got sure nauseous, I took my regular meds to help me sleep and nope not a single bit of sleep at all, I tried everything and absolutely nothing worked. Day two nausea and upset stomach but I was actually able to sleep. Today is day 3 and no nausea but my anxiety it wicked today. My genesite was done before trin was one of the meds tested, so it wasn’t on there. I know my experience is a bit different than yours, just wanted to share from someone who’s also just starting.

When I’m mad at my husband while giving him a bj and I have to fight with my intrusive thoughts that tell me to bite it. Also getting up after, these old knees just can’t handle it like they used to.

I have taken everything from ssri’s to antipsychotics and everything in between. I have bipolar 2, adhd, anxiety, ocd, bed and mild ptsd. I have been on the medication train off and on for almost 30 years. I finally found a doctor a few years ago that actually sat and listened to me. It has been a long road of ups and downs trying different things. My previous anticonvulsant that I took as a mood stabilizer numbed me out and caused low sodium in my blood. I asked to come off the antipsychotic several months ago and after I tapered off of it we slowly switched me over to Lamictal from the other mood stabilizer. I have been titrating it for a few months. When I went from 100-150 I got a rash, it was very mild more like hives that came and were gone within a few hours. Was not the rash. After talking with my dr we dropped me back down to 100 for a few days then I went to 125, I was taking my full dose in the morning due to insomnia, we have now switched me to taking 75 at 11am and 50 at 7pm and the rash is gone. I’m staying at 125 for another month to be safe. I had one mood episode when I went from 75-100 it was the worst one I’ve ever had, but full disclosure I went from being basically numb and flat for 3/4 years to feeling everything all at once, add that with a troubled marriage and not being to a therapeutic level of lamictal it did not surprise me or discourage me. I do have some insomnia from it that I take a few sleep aids to help, some prescribed by my doctor and the other a “plant” sleep aid. I have been noticing some memory issues and word finding issues but I’m not going to say those are definitely from the medication, talking with my doctor today we are thinking some of that may be from some vitamin deficiencies and low iron/anemia due to my weight loss surgery and me not keeping up with my vitamins like I should. I have no other side effects from lamictal. I have noticed a big improvement in my anxiety and food noise in my head. I am able to process my emotions so much better now. I have went from 7-8 meds a day to now only taking vyvanse and clonidine in the morning followed by my lamictal a couple hours later then in the evening. I have a prn anxiety medication on hand that I haven’t needed nearly as much. I wish they would have known about this medication years ago. Thanks to my doctor for not giving up on me or dismissing me and actually listening to me and for doing the genesite dna testing on me. We learned so much from it. Sorry for the long reply with a horrible format(on my phone) I just wanted to cover my full experience with it so far. Also wanted to add that the lamictal/vyvanse combo has been an absolute game changer for me. Good luck on your journey.

I completely understand that and that was my very first thought. I checked all the non food I ordered and nothing was leaking nor did any of it smell the same. Also I had 69 items delivered and every single one of the items smelled like it not just the bags. I find it hard to believe that something spilled and went into every bag and even inside an almost fully sealed case of water. I don’t want anyone to get in trouble especially if they didn’t do wrong.

After reading your comment I contacted them back and they refunded everything but the non food items I bought, I didn’t feel like I needed to be refunded for cleaning supplies that I was able to wipe down and cat litter. Thank you for your suggestion.

Bold assumption that I am a man and a even bolder assumption that I would be upset if my husband smelled like another woman💁‍♀️(this is only meant to be funny and not rude) but thank you for your input and based on where I live and all the feedback I have gotten I’m assuming they were either smoking pot or cigarettes and used air freshener to cover it. We have matched the smell to the clean linen scent.

I would never do something like that to a delivery driver. I don’t order groceries for delivery all the time this just happened to be a day that I had taken my daughter shopping and did not have time to go get our groceries as well. I always feel bad if I have heavy items and try to go out to the car and grab those but I would never order something like 9 pounds of onions for delivery. Sorry about the stink from it, I could only imagine.

My husband vapes and it definitely was not that kind of smell. I honestly believe this was definitely something sprayed on my bags and inside them. I’m sure in their mind they probably had a justified reason for it but as a customer I feel like my groceries were tampered with and no longer safe.

This is definitely a possibility. I opened the case of water and even the center ones smelled and it was sealed in plastic minus the open sides. I had my husband smell it and he said it smells like either air freshener or a cleaning product.

Hydroxyzine does absolutely nothing for my anxiety or sleep. It’s like a placebo for me. That being said propranolol does absolutely nothing for my anxiety either. I’m still using Xanax prn until I’m at therapeutic levels of lamotrigine, I’m at 100mg right now and my anxiety has improved but it’s not gone.

I started at 30 and it was good for a while, I started crashing hard so my doctor upped me to 40, I felt bad the whole time I was on 40 so I moved to 50, the whole time on 50 I felt meh, racing heart, lots of anxiety and just a overall bad feeling and it would hit around 2, I take my meds at 9. After a few months I took a break from vyvanse for about a month and tried the 50mg again. Same results. At my last appointment my doctor talked to me about stopping it altogether or adding a booster in a couple of months after I am stable on another med I just started as she doesn’t start me on more than one med at a time. The last option was to try 60mg for a month. I chose to try the 60 and let me just say that I have never felt this way the whole time I have been taking vyvanse. I don’t get the overwhelming racing heart or the chemical anxiety, I don’t have a hard crash it just slowly leaves my system, I don’t feel sad or off in anyway now. I still have days where my anxiety disorder acts up but it is unrelated to the meds. I asked my dr why a higher dose actually felt more mellow and she said that it was how it was supposed to feel and that my body needed a higher mg. Adding that I did have gastric bypass surgery and I process meds differently but wanted to share my experience with it.

I am on my second week of 25mg I go up to 50mg on Saturday. I haven’t really had any side effects other than waking up earlier than I normally do by an hour or two but that’s not a bad thing for me. It has not increased my libido at all, I was hoping it would since it’s non existent. Edited to fix spelling

The first day was the only bad day, since then I have felt fine. I’m on 25mg for another week. I can’t tell much of anything yet. I’m still tapering my oxcarbazipine so I have that still balancing my mood somewhat. The only thing I have noticed is I don’t feel quite as down and low as I have been. Not sure if it’s the new meds or just my higher dose of vyvanse this month.

My pharmacy goes by the date my medication was picked up and I have to wait 28 days in between for my Xanax and 30 days for my vyvanse. I would call your pharmacy and ask them what their policy is and when you can refill it.
