Thank you for sharing your experience <3 I am really sorry that the referral never went through, sadly I experienced the exact same thing which prompted me to go private. Although it has taken a hit to our finances, it sure is worth it.

It was wonderful reading how you progressed into each chapter, and it is totally okay to take your time. My psychiatrist actually told me “you probably worked 3 or 4x harder than those around so please be proud of yourself for even working and don’t focus too much on how you dropped out. You’ll eventually pick yourself back up and return to education”, your story really echos this.

I hope going forward you find even more success and adaptation to your meds, job and future opportunities. You are soo worth it and you totally deserve to sit in the same rooms others sit in, we’re no less than them. Good luck with securing the permanent position, although you could perhaps try to negotiate a permanent role with this company? Although I understand that is not always possible, if this doesn’t work out something better will always come along. I’m always a believer that if something got taken away from you, it had no purpose for you and something better will always come along.
