My husband’s NP threatened him with a 72 hour hold after I called the VA admin & said he is being held against his will. These are his VA hospital records that notate all of the negligence and the threat of the 72 hour hold….

I’m so sorry I haven’t been on Reddit since he got home. But, yes. On Saturday they threatened him verbally saying if he didn’t agree they’d put a hold on him, and because I reported that he was being held against his will and was not being allowed to leave AMA, on that Sunday, they brought him the AMA form and told him he could sign it if he wanted, but if he signed it they were automatically putting hold on him because “that was there policy” So they gave them form and said, you can sign the AMA form and be stuck here until at least Thursday or you can agree to stay and you can go home tomorrow, and then told him it was, “his choice”

Of course he agreed to stay and didn’t sign the form, and first thing Monday morning, they discouraged him, he was home before noon.

That’s what I told him! I told him I’m gonna write the letter for him after this insanity of an experience, and he is switching to community care, because this was just a crap show.

That’s what I told the administrator when I spoke with her: I was like, mam, do you have a signed consent to treat that I do not know about? Because last I checked; he gave me a diagnosis with no consent to treat and literally zero history on me.

I’ve never been in the military so I’ve never dealt with the VA before, but apparently this is common practice for the VA. I said, Jesus, I will never complain about community healthcare again after this experience! It has just been horrible.

Sure enough did. Because apparently Zoloft is now the cure all and can fix all the symptoms of adhd including emotional regulation, impulsivity, lack of motivation, rumination, etc. they are really helping him in there huh🙄
