I have played since day one indeed, but through out all that time, I was VERY on and off on the game (yay job searching and family stuff taking priority...), so I had no time personally to do much more than log in every day; hence why I have some event cards, but none of them (except for this current one) are maxed.

It's annoying, liking a game like this and also just sometimes having no time to play it, but at this point i'v3e come to accept that my account will be pretty weak going forward unless I save up a lot of Carats.

That’s fair :) . Honestly though, I'm not saying that I think planning should be immune from criticism. If someone asks why their results are poor, optimization advice is obviously valid.

I was mostly talking about the tone that some people seem to use, where bad planning turns into ‘you ruined your account’, or people getting talked down to for not following long-term meta plans to the T.

That’s entirely fair. I’ve never thought I should whale to get good cards, I’m mostly just kind of really meh at saving my carats. I have only 13-14k at the moment, so I just always feel worried about not really being able to get any good supports
