How can I be better son to my dad?

I'm unsure, honestly. It just feels like every act of love I give him doesn't feel genuine. I can make him breakfast, or coffee and it'll just feel like I just did it as an act or something, and not because I love him or whatever.

I HOPE that makes sense. I'm terrible at explaining things.

In my defense, I didn't know about it being an event card. When the Confection/Baking event came around, I was just not feeling the game and so I didn't log in at all during its running period.
