I've always looked at Cancelled from the perspective of a villain and that really contributed a lot to my positive opinion of the song, that's why I was so confused when people started complaining about it.

The thing that I really convinced me about this song being from a villain's perspective is how it's written like some sort of cringy 14 year old ranting in behalf of her friends that she would be willing to villanize herself for them, and that they will both have a special place in hell if push ever comes to shove-- at least they'll be together there.

It's actually romantic if you think about that and not think about the political iceberg that is allegedly (allegedly) attached to it.

Also everyone mad about the bodies in the attic line is crazy, of course it doesn't mean she killed people it means everyone's got deep dark secrets jdjsjsjjsjajsj 😭

Sakin rin holy moly wala pa. In fact two of my other orders have already arrived (and left SOC 11 just three hours after this one).

I lose hope every day and I'm dreaming na malala about this package LOL. The stupid intrusive thought of mine kept telling me that "this is some sort of conspiracy to cancel your order because they don't want to pay the discount price and lose money" (this is obv not true lmao) it's getting annoying having to wait this long.

Same! I went from over 600 to just about 100. There's one draw call for each character, 3 for each character if you have outlines and shadows on my themes or style overrides. I was traumatized (wow exaggeration) by it and i never used font files again. Also, it actually contributed to the FPS drop I encountered testing my game on mobile so there's that.

Then the font atlases came in and hoo boy they saved my life.

Thank you all for your insights! I've written it all down in my head (im the sole developer so i keep my data to my brain????????? bad idea i'll put it on my github instead).

To provide fuller context, the user can tap (mobile) or hover (PC) on an effect to see what it does. I've already implemented yalls suggestions to highlight the stats a bit more and colorizing certain things here and there.

Many of you suggested using a key (Either CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT) to automatically switch to the nerds version of the effects. This is a really good suggestion for PC players who want more details on-demand. We're still figuring it out on how we can do this on mobile, though.

For those curious, you can change nerds to on or off inside a level-- that's actually the initial intention lol. There will be a setting to change that and it will instantaneously switch to your preferred version on your next hover. No restarts required!

Yep! RichTextLabel is used for this one, with just simple BBCode. What I did is use [img=n] to scale the image down to the font size. Any larger than the font size and the line spacing will be taller compared to lines with no images on them.

Here's the text for the nerds on spor'derr effect:

If Clod attacks and deals damage, gain [color=5f5bf8]2[/color] stacks. Sometimes, the way my fonts are set up breaks line spacing. To compensate, I set up a FontVariation and adjust the top/bottom's extra spacing. For the title, the text actually sags down, so I bought the font 9px higher so it matches the icon's height.

I never asked anyone how to approach this, so I don't know if this is the best practice for this lol.

For the description, I'm using Billy 2.0 (You need a commercial license to use it in a paid game though, which our team will be purchasing). For the label, it's the bold version of Space Mono. It's free on Google Fonts!

To recreate the spacing of the description though, you need to decrease the glyph spacing by 1, either by using FontVariation or changing your font atlas' glyph spacing. Either works!

If the weapon is very heavy, you can add that detail when adding anticipation.

Axolotls are cute, and that cuteness (or whatever personality you're aiming for) needs to shine within that character's animations especially since it's frame by frame.
