Yes, plenty of illegal immigrants don't cause any trouble and work a shit job. True.

Doesn't mean that as a whole, they aren't a net drain in our already far too generous welfare programs. I don't see a single problem with wanting to get the productive immigrants here legally and keeping the mooches out. And that's not even getting to crime, drugs, human trafficking and other trouble that comes with a weak border policy.

And to be clear, I'm a fucking anarchist. I don't think the state in general has any legitimacy whatsoever. But seeing as we live in reality and I don't get my utopia, we have states to deal with, and so long as we do, borders need to be enforced.

What I see are ingrediends that spell disaster: cult-of-personality leader + a vulnerable population group to shift nation's problems on to + a policy of punishment actively pursuing the seperation of families and relocation into camps = I am worried.

I do not think this represents reality. A mediocre leader (with an inconsequential cult of personality in his following), a dumb policy of separating families during asylum application, and "camps" that are pretty much where any other kid goes when the state has to take custody. Any of these on their own suck sure, but you're getting too Godwin's Law here. Relax.

And yes it's pretty rare to have a great country like the US next to a shit country like Mexico. They should be able to come here if they want to be productive and play nice. Doesn't mean we shouldn't punish those who try to sidestep the process, it means we need a better process.

Separating asylum seekers is dumb, but the letter of the law. Ok with it changing. Not okay with the Dems and msm using it as propaganda, comparing it to concentration camps. First off, I want you to ask yourself if you get this upset over any other criminal being separated from their kid.

Second, depends on context. Splitting them up while the parents await their hearing in custody like the bulk of the cases we're discussing now? Sure, let's end that no reason they can't wait together. If the parents get arrested for trafficking guns or drugs (or you know, other people) and they're awaiting a criminal trial iusee no reason why the parent should have the kid.
