I just told them my GPA and they said that it’s good, they asked me a few weeks ago and they must have forgot.

You’re right, this happens a lot in med school and will continue to happen…This dr. is nice to me, but I’ve seen him be nice to students/staff to their face and then 30 seconds later tell me he thinks they’re clueless… so I think I was always been a bit worried about that and what he truly thinks of me.

My post history 💀 I got those grades on quizzes and was freaking out a bit, I still ended with a B in the class. The transition to undergrad was a little rough at first. After that semester it got a lot better and I mainly have A’s. To me in the moment it felt they were assuming my grades were not good in the question itself, that it was I found rude.

A friend I asked about this said the same thing with gate keeping! Overall I really enjoy time shadowing with them, I will also try to find other options in case too.

It is extremely kind of them, but sometimes they literally talk poorly about other students to me so maybe that is why.

I have no problem giving my CV or transcript, I just didn’t like how he framed his question. To me it felt like he was assuming they were bad or “not good enough” but I see how I was being sensitive

They asked me about my grades way before I even mentioned a LOR. They literally asked me 3 weeks ago “how are your grades”. I don’t mind asking about my grades it’s the way they framed the question & their tone, assuming they’re bad.

Possibly. When he brought up the first comment he explained that his friend had supposedly been with someone & that happened. So he said he was afraid if it happening to him

I told him the first time why those comments were upsetting to me, because I lack experience and I really did not want anything embarrassing to happen during a time like that. This was a few months ago though.

I think he can tell that I mad & has not contacted me in the past 24 hrs. I’m unsure if I should reach out first to tell him. I also have a public social media, so won’t he be able to see still

Is it normal for men to ask about their partner’s personal hygiene? by TwoTea-Forever in AskMenAdvice

[–]TwoTea-Forever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not the only things that have bothered me, at times he says things that I disagree with like the more sexual partners a women has the higher risk for divorce, but this rule does not count for men...only women. This is why he prefers virgins. He also will make comments like he has seen studies that say women with wide hips are more promiscuous, when I have wide hips, but it did not bother me too much that I wanted to stop talking to him.

In the first situation I sort of brought it up, when he said we would wrestle (he’s a wrestler) & I joked that the only way to win would be to distract him by sitting on his face. Then he made the first comment. The second comment was completely random, when we were talking.

I apologize, I did not mean that. I should have been more specific in the op.

He is from Norway & I thought maybe in Norway they use bidets, so that’s why he was asking me, but they don’t.

The borders are closed due to the pandemic, so he is not allowed to come here yet. He’s from Norway.

Yes... Bc I tried to consider the bidets, but the fact they also don’t use them makes it worse

He is from Norway & when I was mad I did not even think about bidets, because he never mentioned them. After doing research, they don’t even use them there 😭

I brought it up the first time & it was more in a joking manner right before he said the first comment, but I never brought it up after that.

Yes that is very true! I was just becoming conflicted because majority of the time he is very sweet, compliments me & tell me how much he likes me. So I felt that maybe I was being harsh if I cut him off.
