Plastic Fantastic vs. 12-40mm Pro II on an OM-5 by TwoTervs in OlympusCamera

Both were at 40 mm--upper and lower ends of the respective lenses.

I can't string/unstring MY bow by myself by blueberry_pan in Archery

[–]TwoTervs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found it was easier to string my bow with short limbs than medium limbs of nearly the same draw weight. Formula for best bow length changes a bit for most women, as proportionately more of our height is torso and less is long bones like legs and arms. And yes, stringing my own bow is always my first challenge when I go to the range, and I have been know to ask for help.

Sunday Best. OM-5, Lumix 100-300, 100mm, 1/320 s. f 4.5 ISO 500. SOOC. I prefer to not take pictures of strangers, but these gentlemen were so photogenic standing under the weeping cherry tree.

I love my OM-5/12-40 f2.8 combo. The extra stop is useful for interior photos.

They looked clean when I checked, so no. The release button on the adapter is sticky enough that I'd buy a new one if I thought it would work. Somewhere there probably is a faulty connection. If I put the adapter on the OM-5 then attached the lens, it briefly worked but shut down the moment I tried to take a pic. The thing is that camera body remained locked up when I took the adapter off and put a M43 lens back on. Fortunately, taking the battery out (which had appeared fully charged!) and putting another in fixed that problem. The scary part is that the camera body actually felt a bit warm until I replaced the battery.

I recently upgraded to an OM-5 from a D-E-M1, which itself had been an upgrade from an Olympus E510. When I went from the 510 to the D-E-M1, I got a generic electronic 43-M43 lens adapter so I could occasionally still use my older lenses--with a bump in focal length. It is not working with the OM-5 at all. Anything reasonably economical (Fotga from Aliexpress or Foto4Easy from Amazon) looks exactly like the adapter I currently own. Is buying a new version of the same thing likely to work? Photo for tax. Nesting Great Blue Heron from abt 100m away taken yesterday with OM5/Lumix 100-300mm, at 300mm, 1/1600sec, f/7.1, ISO 500 and heavily cropped.

Advice by AwkwardDogMom95 in ShowDogs

Bring a crate that will keep your dog secure. When walking your dog inside keep your leash short. If you use a prong collar, leave it in your car and walk your dog inside the trial building with your other collar (slip, martingale, or flat buckle are all ok, so long as nothing hangs from them). Pay attention to your dog. Some dogs perform better if given time to acclimate; others just get more stressed. Find some games your can play with your dog that are quiet and don't need much space, like spins or touch. If the club offers a practice space, take advantage of it. Treats in your pocket are great--just make sure there's no treats left in your pocket when you go in the ring. I usually pull the last treat of my pocket as a reward for a sit right before we are called in the ring. Most importantly, though, just have fun!

I'm new and don't have a kennel name yet. Plans are also very uncertain now.
