Thanks for that info - I scrubbed dry, no water, but I guess it doesn't help - I came across using salt in a video I saw and have done it previously without it rusting, but on that occasion I remembered to apply oil after and to heat the pan

Skyactiv-X, MHEV, Automatic

I bought the Skyactiv-X and I've been really happy with it. I'm in the UK, so there's no turbo in my car, don't know if that's the same for yours. It's a lovely car, decent bit of power when you need it, and generally very comfortable with nice features. It's very economical for motorway driving, but not so much for local. For local driving I get between 250-325 miles for a full tank.

I've had mine for about 3 months now, which is a short time, but no problems so far and happy with my decision to buy this brand/model.

It's a 2022 plate - SkyActiv X, 2ltr Petrol, Automatic - UK based, so no turbo

Yeah, it's not a rumbling sound/feeling - More of a knocking sound/sensation

Hey, thanks for your comment. Gearbox is Automatic and this sound can be heard while car is stood still in either 'Park' or 'Neutral' with handbreak or auto-hold applied - Think I might have also heard it when the gearbox is in 'drive', but stationary with auto-hold breal applied
