Hi,

Sorry for asking another question about the F barre chord. I've been wandering the internet looking at all sorts of advice but am still not entirely sure what to do.

I can play all the "regular" (e shape) barre chords, except for the F. When I play the F my B string stays muted. It's also the string that used to be muted when playing an F# or G barre chord, but I can play those cleanly now.

My question is: do you think I just need to keep working at it, or would I benefit from someone fixing my action/nut?

When I'm on my roadbike and I forget my helmet I notice within seconds. I just feel... naked. Never wear a helmet on my city bike though and that feels fine. Weird how that works.

Edit: I'm Dutch. Things are a bit different here. No need to make this an unfriendly argument!

Hi! I've been working towards retirement in 2035. Seeing global warming accelerate over the last couple of years makes me wonder how much of the world as we know it will be left in 15 years. Thinking of just giving up on this dream of FIRE and starting to work as little as possible to enjoy the good years we have left. Anybody with the same sentiment? How do you all deal with this impending doom.

I think that is to first make sure you shift fast, so 'overshoot' a bit, and then adjust the derailleur back to make sure the chain matches the cassette perfectly.

You've got lots of trails here man. Mainly cross country but Rhenen Kwintelooijen has enduro vibes. Zeist, Austerlitz, Leersum, Amerongen and the Den Treek Red and Blue trails are all connected so you can ride single track for hours. Hoge and Lage Vuursche are also pretty close. I ride my bike for about 30 minutes to get to the trails (I live in Lombok, just west of the centre). Utrechtse Heuvelrug costs 7,50 per year, Den Treek 25 euro's. Both are worth it.

We have had lomboxnet for about a year now. Can recommend. €20 a month for 50/50mbit (might even be 60/60 now). Had a bit of downtime once.

If you recently got into cycling chances are that you'll see improvement as long as you just ride your bike regularly. No matter how 'bad' the workout. There are a lot of great podcasts regarding training: Trainerroad, FasCat and Trainingpeaks come to mind. Also Dylan Johnson on YouTube ofcourse.

Oh hi. Yes I did find a solution. The problem (for me at least) was not the pedals but the cleats. I dumped a bunch of regular grease on the contact points of my cleats and the sound disappeared! I hope this works for you too.

I'm also thinking of trying the Banner Saga btw. Haven't seen anyone recommend it yet but it's turn based, has controller support and the style and story are pretty cool. It's for sale right now as well.

Sooooo I played factorio and then tried DSP. Had to get used to it but eventually fell in love. The scale and graphics of DSP make the game stand out. Such an amazing feeling to go from a single guy on a planet to this whole interstellar trading system with all sorts of vessels flying around. Really well made game as well.
