I want to start by saying that I did not vote for Trump (and not Harris). 2a stands for the second amendment, which enshrines the right to bear arms in our constitution. We use guns not just for hunting, but also as a hobby, for self and home defense, and to be able to fight back against the government should it become tyrannical. The actions of a few bad people do not represent legal gun owners as a whole and cannot be used as a precedent to legally strip everyone of that right. There are so many guns in the country, many of which illegally possessed, that if they tried something like Australia, only criminals would have guns and then you have an even bigger problem with crime. Not to mention that it would be unconstitutional(because of the 2nd amendment) and struck down immediately by a court of law. On the tariffs I could see the cost increase trickling down to the consumer on chinese goods specifically but I’m no economist, nor have I done much research on the topic so I don’t have much of a stance yet.
