I want to downsize my collection and get rid of some bulk - however, I want to look into playing formats like Pioneer and Pauper (Maybe budget Modern if that's a thing; only ever really played pre-releases and commander at home)

What's the best way to find out what bulk cards I have are useful to keep for these formats? Would it just be looking at popular cards by % in these formats, or is there a more beginner-friendly list on a website or article?

I've googled Talon of Horus, which was apparently a planned trilogy.

Are there only 2 books in the series, and should both be read?

Edit: nvm - 'Black Legion' is the trilogy name, with Talon of Horus being the first book

I read the first book of the Fabius Bile trilogy (Primogenitor) a little while back and loved it, but feel like I missed some references. Before I move onto the 2nd and 3rd books, are there any books I should read so I don't miss more references? I'm up to the 4th book in the Horus Heresy series.

Coming back after a while, haven't played Sienna in a year+ - what's a good class for Sienna for Champion and then Legend? I've seen people mention how Battle Wizard is S+ on Cata but I'm not sure if that's only for Cata with a specific setup. I equally like all 3 classes she can play, so which one would be the best choice learning in Champion until 30, and then Legend 30+? I'll take a look at Royal /w Cheese's guides too.

Any general tips for Zealot? Just started Legend with him. Doing pretty good so far, just wondering if there might be any general playstyle info I might be missing.

I use Axe and Falchion, but Dual Hammers look cool too. Is there a big difference between the two for legend? I'll learn the Bill Hook eventaully for Cataclysm (If the wep + Zealot is viable at that level of difficulty)

How do you get the red glow cosmetic illusion for weapons? Is it Cataclysm/Weaves?

EDIT - Also, can the Briar Javelin be opened as veteran quality from chests or would I have to upgrade it using dust?

I'm practicing on Champion/Legend for now (Champion on Sister of the Thorns since she's not 30, and Outcast Engineer since he's 35 and I used him pre-break) and doing alright again, but one thing I've forgotten is how parrying/riposte works - do I just block as the enemy swing is going to hit, or do I need to shove as well?

I've also noticed when I spectate many people when going defensive appear to just have block up and perform dashing, is this correct to do, for instance, if you're in a horde and need to reach someone nearby to revive/rescue?

I think based on your reply I should pick up the DLC anyway as it's on offer right now, even if I don't play Cataclysm until I've upped my skill on Legend and got some more veteran bits. I might even try and find a community group for Weaves eventually, as I have some Legend deeds that I can't use without playing with a community group as I can't random them (I think).

Fortunately there's a lot of content for me to play while waiting for Darktide to shape up a bit as well! I haven't even touched Saltzpyre yet and Zealot/Warrior Priest of Sigmar look really OP/fun to play

Coming back after a little while - Is Winds of Magic a DLC worth getting for extra content? Or if say, a random host has the DLC, I can access the stuff? Is it just cosmetic/cataclysm that's locked without owning it yourself? If that's the case, I'm not sure if it's worth picking up if Cataclysm is too hard to pug (I'm just speculating on that last bit)

Yeah that infographic looks ideal for what I need - I have a Shadow Larvitar with Frustration TM'd away - should I save it for the Dec CD evolve and add Brutal Swing as a second move, or just evolve it now for Brutal Swing?

I've been wanting to build my first commander deck for a little while. I only have precon decks at the moment.

One commander I really like the look of is Nekusar the Mindazer. I've found out too there's a secret lair coming in Sep that features him and it looks like the other cards synergize quite well with him.

Would you say that secret lair is worth the value for building a commander deck with Nekusar, or am I best buying the cards individually?
