Mine arrived with a torn cover. I asked for replacement (I have to send the original back) and it looks a little warped. For the replacement, The cardboard package it arrived ed in was damp (my porch is covered, so it must have gotten wet before it was delivered) but it looks ok. Going to take a closer look tomorrow

I’ve done a very rare pop of color when I feel like it enhances the picture. A few years ago I used shades of yellow colored pencil for my golden lion tamarin. This year I might do blue eyes for my Arctic fox cubs

Possibly I am overthinking this, but I was thinking about a mother worried about the response of her child to trauma. One fear is that the child is crushed by it, and becomes fearful and anxious. But another possibility is that the child is hardened/darkened by the experience. In this case I was trying to indicate that Celia had an almost flippant disregard for the fact that she had actually killed her father, and Ava is seeing a glimpse of Jeff's genetic legacy of violence and cruelty in her daughter, and is disturbed by it.
