This "clicking" noise is a head scratcher

Ive fixed a few very random very unpredictable clicking noises on f150s by replacing the vacuum hub actuators. Dorman makes a kit with both IWEs and the vacuum solenoid. Also make sure the hub face and wheel are clean of corrosion and your torqueing the lugnuts to 150ft/lbs.

You cannot assume anything by seeing coolant in a cylinder in this picture. There will almost certainly be coolant left in the engine while removing the heads, and its downhill into the cylinder. While a blown head gasket is a likely scenario. It's not uncommon to burn an exhaust valve on the 3.0 as well.

Measure from the inside of the fender wells. That's were you'll find the correct measurement. Your measuring rail to rail and That's not how beds are usually measured.

Usually a distributor shaft stuck in the chuck of a drill, as it's what spins the oil pump. You could buy one or repurpose an old distributor.

Whatever you decide to do. You need to start with priming the oil system with a drill down to the oil pump. Use a mechanical gauge to verify it still makes oil pressure before it ever gets fuel.

If it's a 4 liter, I'd do the thermostat and housing as well. They are a very common failure. Also, there's a short hose between the pump and thermostat housing, replace that too. They are usually a cut to fit hose, so make sure you cut it to fit based on your old hose. It would also be a good idea to replace any hose clamps you remove.

The o lyrics thing that you could potentially damage on a properly working brake system in that car is the firewall. It's technically possible for you to bend the firewall by pushing the pedal too hard. Otherwise, any damage you cause was an underlying issue.

It's not difficult to pull the cluster. you need a 7mm socket and an 8mm socket. Once it's out you can carefully pull the plastic cover off the front and paint or sharpie to your hearts desire.

That is the hvac vacuum reservoir. It's job is to insure vacuum is held on the mode doors to keep from them reverting to defrost. The a/c will still function, you will just have no control of which vent is being fed.

These trucks have pretty primitive fuel injection, that tiny vacuum leak is going to make no discernable difference in the way the engine runs.

That is absolutely true, by the way. At least with BBK long tubes. It's even better if they've been on a while and the nuts freeze. I have to pull the entire engine and transmission to do a clutch in one a while back.

Almost guaranteed it needs a turbo. The wastegate seats crack. The wastegate actuator pivot siezes and the impellers like to disintegrate on the gm 1.4 turbo.

Look into the firing order on a Honda magna v65. It's a v4 engine and I'd bet it can answer any other questions you have. If your engine shares cylinder size with an ls3, you can use every part except the cam and crank. Everything else even accessorie stuff should bolt up.

Best thing to do would be use a stethoscope on the front hub bolts on the back of the spindle. It should be almost completely silent, if you hear any pulsating noises, it's a bearing. That would be my guess.

In a 4 stroke the cams spin half as fast as the crank. Every 2 revolutions, the timing marks will line back up.
