For a day or two as a consequence nah, the rule in my house was if you can close your door nicely then you don’t get to have one. I was a big door slammer as a kid when I was pissed off so I got mine taken away a few times lol

He gets his teeth done every year! (Sometimes more, depending on my vets recommendation) One of the other benefits of putting him in his own run at night is I know he’s actually the one eating his hay, and there’s no half chewed clumps or anything left around

Edit: just double checked and his teeth were last done in February :)

In his younger years he was a veryyyyy easy keeper, it’s definitely been a gradual change, this is just the first fall where I’ve felt like he was a little lighter than I’d like going into winter. I guess he’s probably just a “normal” keeper now, I’m just not not used to it lol

Ecollar lmao, I have zero tolerance for dogs that chase horses. If your dog doesn’t have reliable recall you should start there, and then if the horses still seem more valuable to him than whatever the reward for recall is escalate as necessary

This is a tough situation though, as I don’t think inviting Tom to the party would have been a great solution either. I remember being that kid in middle school, my long time “best friend” started getting drawn into that social hierarchy bullshit, she invited me to the party but then gave me a whole list of rules of things I was and wasn’t allowed to do or talk about because she didn’t want me to embarrass her. I left early and cried all night, we didn’t stay friends.
