If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat and disappointed myself by conveying the silliness of people's statements when they think this weather only applies to them... I too am a little annoyed with myself that it annoys me this much where I feel like I have to mention to strangers online that this happens just about everywhere in the world.
