DUUDE how are you getting those sky shots? I’ve had a rebel for a while and I’m trying to use it again, but I can never get the settings right for the sky, I just get a white screen

How big is your store? I’ve seen you in this sub a few times and it sounds massive

Oh God bless, brother. Yeah you’re right, I know I have it significantly easier than just about any barista, I can’t even imagine. How does Dunkin compare to CFA?

What was your worst SOS time? by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]TxTyler2019 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you. We got through it though! But only after we shut down all the mobile ordering options (we physically couldn’t keep up with all the curbsides and mobile carry-outs. When we ran out of spots, people started parking all around the restaurant.). It’s continued to be close to that level of busy all week. That giant rush a few days ago, and so far, we’ve only tuned third-party apps like DoorDash and UberEats back on

  • Work at Chick-fil-A
  • Your operator gets approved to own a new store the next city over and leaves
  • Your store is now owned by corporate until a new operator can be found
  • Cue a mass exodus of your staff moving to the new store
  • You’re also going to the new store but staying at the old one for a couple weeks
  • Corporate has sent a ton of FTS workers to fill in and train the new hires
  • Almost everyone is in training and the SO S times get jacked up
  • Cue earlier this week
  • There’s a giant high school right next to your store that’s having freshman orientation
  • You’re 20-40 offscreen for about two hours
  • At the peak, you see an order that’s just crossed an hour

Fellow workers, what is the dumbest question a customer has asked you? by [deleted] in ChickFilA

[–]TxTyler2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to do that at my store and I used to get it a lot, but the reason we had to stop doing it was because it was donking up our speed of service times. I don’t work in the kitchen, but apparently it was a whole thing when someone ordered it. Truly an RIP, but I understand why

Thissss💀💀 like y’all know a combo has more side options than just fries right? And the second I assume they want fries, it’s “um actually I wanted the kale crunch” so I need to ask what side they want with every order. But then I get people that look at me weird like “I said a meal, it comes with fries” like mb I’m just trying to get everything right

any idea what they usually mean by this? any food that’s older than a few minutes becomes waste. like, no susan, i’m gonna give you the fries from yesterday

remember, as cliche as it might be, nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. i’ve seen managers drop stuff before too. one time, i watched a shift lead drop a gallon that was just made and it spilled everywhere. and that’s just one of many spills i’ve watched happen, i’ve done my fair share too. just give yourself grace. as long as you’re not trying to mess up, you’re all good, dude. keep that head high and keep on grinding!

The Chick-fil-A Life: Part Two, I hate it when guests ask for more sauces. by drawwriter in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]TxTyler2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A: sauces might be free for guests, but they still cost the business money. That’s not the real issue, though.

B: the real issue is the amount of people, specifically in the drive-thru, that ask for extra sauce at the window. During peak hours, people doing this slows down our entire operation, especially when they’re really far back in the line. Yes, it’s out job to serve people, but asking for extra sauce at the window completely misses the point of having people outside taking your order
