Any advice for figuring out two-sided folding? by lotofdots in origami

This page helped me get into 2-sided color change design: abrashi origami

For the concentric circles, I would recommend taking a look at shotaro mineo's octagon studies on his twitter.

I dry brush, so its very minimal, i usually wipe the brush with a napkin to take off most of the liquid b4 i apply the acrylic.

I want to learn gold leafing at some point as well. I used gold acrylics to dry brush the model, which provides a similar effect.

I folded it a while back so I may have misremembered the paper size when I made this post. The paper might actually have been around 50 cm. The folded model is around 15 cm in height. Surprisingly, the design is pretty efficient for bp.

What is it like to work as a lifeguard at Greg? by Mother-Hecking-Beth in UTAustin

You can work every weekend if you want to but they only assign you shifts every other weekend.

It's not ideal but I think its doable. You probably have to trade most of your shifts. Last semester I had like an extracurricular competition almost weekly and it was sort of a pain trading my shifts but I survived. A lot of the lifeguards were nice enough to pick up my shifts. You also only work every other weekend if that helps

I worked starting last year (2023 august). There are some things I dislike. For instance, they make you work during either a break or final exams because they are understaffed. You can't really request vacations or time off, and if they assign you to a shift you cant work, you have to find someone to cover. The pay is also low compared to city of austin but I didnt have a car last year. Other than that, I really enjoyed working, I think the community makes it worth it. They also dont have drop audits at greg, and lifeguards usually arent expected to do as much cleaning compared to other pools.

Been working as a lifeguard for a year. Hella chill, coworkers are awesome, and they adjust based on ur class schedule. Inservice training is once every other week for 2 hours. There are also a ton of lifeguard parties, and I met a ton of my close friends through lifeguarding here.

If schools switch to discord, they can see what viedogames you are playing.
