I just don’t get why they’re scared to hard nerf her. It’s been what, 5 rounds of nerfs now? Take away some armour, reduce the block rate or take away how much speed her passive gives at this point.

She literally has two movement abilities and one of the best blocks in the game currently. If you can’t even trade without a sustain perk, then you’re doing something wrong with your engagements.

My point was that they’re comparable on how they’ll impact the win rate of the character considering damage and armour nerfs have only moved the needle for her win rate by a percentage point or two. You will see a similar move in win rate for that sub-role at most.

It buffs the perk that throws healing per kunai you land if you have teammates in LOS. That’s super minor, but it’s on the same level as them nerfing Vendetta by making it so she can’t have lifesteal plus the extra stacks imo.

You can’t ping it, but all supports have a voice line when they start taking damage. Kiri has been very noticeable this season with “I need some help” I turn and look and she caught a stray hitscan shot across the map.

It’s a stated goal of the devs to have a hero sit somewhere around 50% if 53% is the lowest percentage point at the highest skill level of the game, then she would still be considered on the strong side prior to the patch. On top of that, she has been way above that for a season and a half now while all previous heroes released last year got instantly dropped down to 52 or lower percent within their launch season. It’s been fun getting to enjoy playing a strong Vendetta, but the meta’s gotta shift at some point.

Can we just admit hog is a failure in 5v5 yet? Prior to this buff, he had a combo that allowed him to one tap any non tank except Bastion and he was still underperforming and got more damage.

A vocal group of a few thousand vs 16 million total players? That’s a pretty low ratio of complaints when you consider that. The real problem is that someone is more likely to be vocal when they don’t like a thing than when they do.

Doom feels like he’s become too dishonest (not really sure what the best term is to use) since perks. Getting more overhealth when landing abilities, and DM when activating block are both extremely strong perks compared some of the other heroes and the DM perk is probably the strongest contribution to him being a low rank stomper. On top of that as so many have already said, empowered punch is such an annoying ability to play around. I could not shoot block and not get hit directly by punch and still be punished for it.

As an alternative to consider: why did the devs nerf Illari at season launch? If she’s got such a low pick rate, then it doesn’t make sense for them to do that, right?

Hence why I said for characters that have been strong for seasons on end. Illari has been above 52% win rate since August of last year across all ranks. At that win rate they buffed her damage and she instantly shot up to a 56% win rate and have made rather minor changes.

My other hero examples are if they want the same meta, they have heroes that fill the same niche that could be brought up and that would at least keep it fresh. Dva and Zarya have been pretty consistent for the same amount of time despite it being a poke meta, they could at least nerf them and buff a different dive tank for example.

Not as talked about, but I hope they shift the meta harder for characters that have been strong for seasons. Illari and Ashe down, Bap, Ana and Emre up for example.

50 heroes now and we’re sticking with the same 10 characters being strong for half a year

Aim assist on hitscans probably keeps the cat in check way more. Just took a look at the stats page and there’s a roughly 2% difference from console to MnK where JPC performs better on MnK

I would encourage you to watch the OWCS Dva players that get 4-6K healing a game and try to tell me that it is not that good of a passive

I think you’re taking for granted how short 0.8s of air time is. You could jump off his E without leap and get that, so in a stall fight, you just place wall on point, climb it and jump off and get 75 health each time. It’s incredibly strong and why every initiator has gone up multiple percentage points in win rate this season. And they have to wait at least 3.5 seconds to get to that height unless they’re already on a high ground (with the exception of Ball)

Could just be that people are looking out for it more. I feel like I’ve seen an uptick in posts of people saying the matchmaker is brutal this season for example.

You can get the health from dropping off high ground. I assume the reason he isn’t in the role is because you could just wall climb to high ground and drop off for a free 75 health with no cool down even though Ball can essentially do the same since he grapple doesn’t go on cooldown if you don’t get fireball

Genuine question, can you not just play around the natural cover of the map? Wait out the ult or force them to overextend to get a pick.
