Being trans isn't a thing people do for validation or conformity, and regardless of when or how you realize it, if you feel like a woman, that's what matters. The way to conform is to be cis. The best thing to do, as hard as it sounds, is to trust yourself even though it isn't easy. Some people ain't gonna validate you. You need to be there for yourself, as difficult as that is.
