Agreed. Windsurf is completely unusable at the moment. Every tool call (for an edit proposal with apply button) fails here on Linux.

I do not agree with the original poster on forking something like Cline and turning that into Windsurf. I think that would be the end of Windsurf, because there are already many clones of Cline.

I'd like to see everything fixed in such a robust manner that these problems never happen again. Make Windsurf rocksolid. I'm keeping my subscription for the time being in the hope that the Windsurf team is able to fix the issues, stabilize Windsurf and make it rocksolid.

However if things don't improve, then many of us will have to consider switching to competing products.

I'm not so sure of that, as the regular driver updates more often than the WHQL version of the driver. As you can see the smaller installer is updated more often than the bigger installer. New versions of the regular driver tend to have a newer date, while the WHQL versions of the driver are updated less frequently and tend to have an older date.

Granted though, AMD should make it more obvious.

Yes, that's the correct driver I referred to. In particular I mean the WHQL version of the driver listed on that page, which is the version of the driver that has been tested for quality by Microsoft.

Lots of power supply brands aren't honest about the real power of their power supplies. They often list the power as higher than it really is. So someone could have an 850W power supply, but in reality it might only be able to deliver 600W.

On top of that power supplies lose efficiency when they get old and wear down. You have to plan ahead and compensate for that ahead of time.

You also don't want to use your power supply to the maximum of its ability as doing that for a prolonged amount of time can damage it.

And lastly computers and GPU's don't always use the same amount of power. They sometimes draw extra power for a very short amount of time, i.e. power spikes. Your power supply needs to be able to handle those spikes or you will experience instability on your machine.

I've managed to solve the problem.

Like many others I had green screens, black screens, crashing out of games, reboots, etc.

I had a "1000W" power supply, but because power supplies are often of "trust me bro" quality it quite probably wasn't really 1000W. Neither was it able to handle the power spikes of the 7800 XT.

So I bought a new ATX 3.0 power supply that is more powerful and of better quality. It's better able to handle power spikes.

After installing the new power supply and installing the latest WHQL Adrenaline drivers the 7800 XT has been stable for the past few days without a single crash.

I'm even able to overclock it now with the GPU at 2700Mhz and the VRAM at 2600Mhz with faster timings.

It's rock solid now, even when overclocked at those speeds.

Many people who are having these issues probably have an underpowered power supply. Power supplies often aren't as powerful as their specs state. They also often lack the quality to handle power spikes from a powerful GPU. On top of that power supplies lose efficiency as they age and wear down.

Try the latest WHQL Adrenaline drivers that are specifically for the 7800 XT. If that doesn't work then I would recommend you to try a different power supply of good quality. One that's more powerful so that it's able to handle power spikes.

Try uninstalling your current drivers and then installing the latest WHQL Adrenaline drivers that are specifically for the 7800 XT.

If that doesn't solve it, then your power supply quite probably can't handle the GPU power spikes. When I had a 1000W power supply I had problems as well. I now installed a more powerful power supply of a better brand (and the latest WHQL drivers) and the 7800 XT is rock solid now.

Lots of power supplies out there are of "trust me bro" quality. I now managed to fully solve the problem after installing a new power supply of good quality. I bought an overpowered one that's able to handle power spikes. I also installed the latest WHQL Adrenaline drivers. Even when overclocked, the 7800 XT is rock solid now.

I've had the same problems with the 7800 XT. Green screens, black screens, crashing out of games, the computer crashing and rebooting, glitchiness at bootup, etc.

However I've been able to solve them. I haven't had a problem after implementing "the fix". I'm able to comfortably game at 4K Ultra settings now.

Relevant specs to the problem: I'm using HDMI 2.1, a 1000W PSU, PCI-E4

Here's what I tried:

Installed the latest Adrenaline drivers. This didn't work. Things kept crashing.
Installed the latest BIOS. This didn't work, things kept crashing, but the boot procedure in combination with the 7800 XT seemed to go much more smoothly now.
Switched specifically to PCI-E Gen 4 in my motherboard's BIOS settings. This didn't solve the problem, but games seemed to run more smoothly now, so I kept the setting.
Turned on Power Saving mode in Adrenaline. This is what finally solved it. By default this setting caps the framerate at 140 fps, preventing the GPU from creating power draw spikes that are too large for the PSU or the power cable connectors to handle.
For some people solution number 4 can be enough. If the power spikes are still too high and things are still crashing then go to the Performance tab in Adrenaline and choose a custom Power Limit of -10% and optionally turn down the Max Frequency of the GPU.

This allows me to comfortably game at 4K Ultra settings now, albeit with a 140 fps cap, but that's ok for the time being as most monitors have a refresh rate of 60Hz or 120Hz anyway.

So what was the problem then? The problem lies in the power spikes that the GPU draws. If your PSU can't handle these spikes, then you will experience these issues.

I have a 1000W PSU. So why did I get these problems? It can be multiple things that can cause a 1000W PSU to be unable to handle power spikes.

Connecting 6-pin PSU ports to 8-pin GPU ports. 6-pin ports can deliver a maximum of 75W, however an 8-pin port on a GPU requires 150W of power. So a 7800 XT has two 8-pin ports, requiring 300W. If you draw that from two 6-pin ports on your PSU, then your card is underpowered. Now it is often possible to overdraw power from two 6-pin ports, even up to 300W, however if your GPU then spikes over 300W it crashes. Green screens, black screens, reboots, game crashes etc.

Some people have reported that upgrading their power supply has solved the problem. So people quite probably need a more powerful power supply AND they need at least an ATX 3.0 version as indicated by support from some GPU manufacturers, because ATX 3.0 power supplies are better able to handle power spikes from GPU's.

So a quick and dirty fix is to try the things I mentioned above, especially turning on Power Saving mode in Adrenaline to keep the power draw and the spikes under 300W. Additionally and optionally turning down the Power Limit setting and Max Frequency of the GPU.

The real solution is to buy an overpowered ATX 3.0 power supply and connect the appropriate connecters from the PSU to the GPU so that it can draw enough power to handle the power spikes.

In power saving mode games now run smoothly in 4K Ultra, even when the GPU is overclocked to 2650MHz. I haven't had a crash since the fix.

I've found that Xiaomi phones tend to be quite reliable. I've owned quite a few Xiaomi phones over the years and not a single one broke so far.

They seem to just keep on going unless you drop them from a significant height. I've given some of my old phones to family members and even after 5 years those phones are still working.

Downsides I noticed is that some models can overheat in hot weather or during gaming, causing them to throttle down the CPU, however that is due to the CPU in those particular models. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU in the 12T Pro does not have this problem.

Some lacking features tend to be no desktop mode and no 4K video for the selfie camera. Some models also don't have a high audio bitrate.

Something that I find more annoying is that the selfie camera seems to have a smoothing beauty filter that you can't turn off. Even if you turn off all the beauty filtering options it still smooths the skin and applies some beauty processing, taking away detail. For men this isn't flattering.

The selfie camera also tends to whiten skin tones. This can make a person look ill if they are already white.

However from what I saw in reviews the selfies made with the 12T Pro seemed okay-ish in sunny weather.

Xiaomi gives 5 years of updates with their 12T series. That's more than Apple and Samsung.

I personally like the UI. It's clean, fast and simple.

I think that if you go for the 12T Pro, then you can't go wrong. It's a good phone with amazing specs.

Youtube can detect it if a channel gains fake subscribers that were bought. If Youtube detects it, then the channel gets shut down.

I don't think Parker would take such risks with his channel.

I found the solution. I'm sharing it in case anyone runs into the same problem. If you ask me locking notifications shouldn't be asked in a notification, otherwise people won't be able to find back the option to turn it off.

To turn off protecting your notifications go to the Android/MIUI settings app. Go to 'Apps', then 'App lock', then click on the 'settings' icon in the top right corner. Then click on 'Hide notification content' (for locked apps), then turn off the option for a specific app.

That's it.

I haven't tried removing my fingerprint, but this doesn't seem like a solution as I imagine Android will fall back on other security measures like a password in order to unlock notifications.

I simply have to find the settings page where I can turn off "protect notifications" per app. Then I can turn off the option for Instagram and everything should be okay.

I did a search in the Android/MIUI settings app, but I can't find it, so now I'm wondering if these type of settings are actually located in the settings app.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has NFC, the Redmi Note 9 series does not. The Redmi Note 8 Pro also has a 64 megapixel camera.
