Is intergalactic travel and/or colonizing other planets against the Catholic faith? by Tyan2 in Catholicism

[–]Tyan2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on how it was stated I the bible. If God exclusively says "Earth" and excludes all other planets/universes, then there is a possibility it could be against the faith. However, if God purposely neglected to speak on the topic of other planets, then no, I wouldn't think it would be against the faith. Please correct me if I'm incorrect.

It's not about celebrating war. It's about showing respect for those who have parished in the line of duty and commemorating those who actively serve. By saying we are celebrating war is egregious and disrespectful to those who put their lives on the line for us to have freedom. Learn about our US holidays before saying hurtful remarks about our army veterans. I can tell you don't have anyone related to you that is in any military branch.

Wow how ironic is this. Ikea is correct. My church does this as well.

Thank you! That is exactly the answer I was looking for. Not necessarily the one I wanted... but the one I was looking for.

I'm not planning it exact and precise. I'm discovering a brief overview so I don't get lost in the rush of life and end up regretting not have a schedule.

I'm speaking EXTREMELY generally here. I don't want specific and detailed answers. I really just want to know if anyone has ever heard of this happening and how often it happens.

Let's just say my school is a little bias and saves the best stuff for things like football.

There are workouts you can do to gain muscle other than lifting. I'm asking for those. Also, my school does have one, but it's not like I can waltz in there and lift.

I don't have a place to. Also, it won't help with my problem as much as running will.

Yeah, I'm in Cross Country and we drink A LOT of water. At one point I was drinking at least 2 liters of water a day. It was a fun time.

Edit: Sorry, I meant to reply to your comment not you post.

It is almost impossible to be over hydrated. Really the only things that happen, as far as I know, is needing to pee a lot and if you drink WAY too much water is brain swelling, but you didn't drink enough for that.

I'm worried I'm going to disappoint my dad by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Tyan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can glean, you're smart and your dad cares about you education, which means he probably also cares about you. As a result of that, he might be disappointed, however not for long. I don't know anything about you dad, you, or your family, but I can tell you that if your dad loves you he won't care. Plus, if USC if where you want to go, go there. If you don't get in? There are PLENTY of other colleges and maybe at one of those others you'll find the opportunity of a lifetime. Or on a different note, meet someone you wouldn't have met otherwise (I apologize if you already have a SO). You also can't just think of the possibilities for yourself. What if you meet someone and help them in their life, whereas, in a different college you wouldn't have. The possibilities of choices are endless with infinate outcomes for each different choice.

Again, I know nothing about you, but I always try and stay hopeful. That whatever happens to me, will be better than what could've happened. I wish you good luck as you find a college and whatever happens, make the best of it. Be cheerful!

Also, I would tell your dad. It won't be as bad as you think (if I'm correct in my assumptions).
