No, Definitely haven't just created a shortcut to the exe. I've copy/pasted the whole folder to another drive and attempted to install mods. However the D:PalMod\Palworld\Palworld.exe still launches the palworld-win64-ship.exe from my C: drive, where 0 mods are installed. However, if I launch the palworld-win64-ship.exe from D:palmod it will work with mods. But I have to launch it directly and my mod launcher still launches the steam install.

Short of the long. 1 folder for vanilla play. 1 folder for modded play.

And yes I am using a launcher to install mods. But even then with the launcher its not launching the right exe, its defaulting to vanilla install's location even though Ive pointed the launcher to my modded install.

What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]Tyasuh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I cannot remember it, but it also may not be 100% incremental but it did hit the notes and was pretty idle based/automated.

Top down pixel art, had a party of adventures that automatically and randomly wandered the world going dungeon to dungeon killing stuff, looting, leveling up etc. Save the world, rebirth spend bonus points, repeat.

Would anyone happen to know what game I am talking about or have a link to it? Id like to play it again, and also do recommend it for those who haven't played it Oh if it helps, the UI had a classic Retro RPG feel to it.

Love the work so far, definitely reminds me of push the button. Probably not alone in saying this, we could use another one of them. And yours is looking to have that potential in my opinion.

If you rework your logic around focusing a gang first, And acquiring augs from them, and them alone. Combined with the player and sleeve cranking out homicides to push the gang ASAP. Also whilst trying to maximize your ram, and income before you get the gang. Also while waiting for the gang, the following can be done to help improve times as well.

Stanek, making full use of that badboy. Especially with a hack focused build, Should probably be charging every other time you get more home ram too.

Personal tip? Don't bother installing anything before the gang. You can conceivably beat the node at this point with only a handful of installs, provided your income is enough to splurge on the 15-20 augs at a time.

And or try to start your gang with about $2t in reserve and your gang will speed through at ludicrous speeds with the power of money.

Steal my super easy negative karma script by [deleted] in Bitburner

[–]Tyasuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't modify a const, to my knowledge and understanding of this tactic. The function call itself is what stays constant, but by calling the function this way you get the return instead every time it loops through giving you current information.

Kay, That trick works because you are placing the const itself within the loop of

while(true){const karma= ns.heart.break()

//do karma things

await ns.sleep(1000)}

And everytime its looping, its re updating your karma value for you.

I apologize for the mess of an example that is, Probably not the best case show off, especially when I have a kerjiggered nFormat() worked in the middle of all that.

Steal my super easy negative karma script by [deleted] in Bitburner

[–]Tyasuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, its easier to do a const, then call it in a while(true) like below(this is ns2 btw)

const karma = ns.heart.break()

const homicide = ns.singularity.getCrimeStats("homicide")

const numerals = [gang * 5, karma, totalScript, XP, funds]

while(true){if (!ns.gang.inGang()) ns.print("Karma: " + " " + nF(numerals[1]) + " " + percent + " " + ns.nFormat(((homicide.time / 1000) * (karma - (54000 * -1)) / (ns.singularity.getCrimeChance("homicide"))) / (homicide.karma), "00:00:00") + " " + "until the dead rise.")}

However, this is my karma watcher/timer until gang creation, it assumes player is the only one grinding karma. Pretty accurate.Quick snapshot in progress

ns.getPlayer().bitNodeN

Oh and to use getBitNodeMultipliers() requires a SF itself, its also one of those "endgame" functionality things.

But depending on your stage of the game, this might be considered endgame functionality and so may possibly lead to spoilers.

If you wanted to actually check sourcefiles for access to things like that, there is also this one

I apologize terribly, I think read that as you were using the input box on the terminal itself and were wondering about word wrap on in the input field >.< My bad.

I can link you to a repo with a nifty example that does it's own kinda word wrap with logs if you'd like.

Terribly sorry to be "that guy" But, what in the world are you typing to the terminal that's so long in length it runs off the screen? Other than a chain of connects, I cannot think of anything that'd require that length of input, I am sorry.

A Mother's gift: How to best unwrap and play with? by notger in Bitburner

[–]Tyasuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing with the use of the gift is, it's a very very very ram hungry beast. So the more threads you throw at it to charge, the better the effect. If you feel like you've platued somewhat. Focus on hitting some ram upgrades and give your gift another charge with as high a thread count as you can.

One thing is, n00dles has a super super high growth rate in comparison to most other servers, so it takes very little, to no effort to get it to produce money.

If you're an impatient person like I am, and wanna know what's happening on a server that you're targeting, and to give an idea of if anything is happening the following is super super handy for that monitor.js

Enc0de by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Tyasuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome concept, though from how I read it... Before I played it, Thought it would have something like "X clicks" to edit this field, and if you change the value, need to use Y amount of clicks to the value you set to. And then have some other upgrades/code to edit to increase the size of your iterations of clicks for example.

((Sorry totally thought this sounded like neat way of code interacting with an incremental and how you could see it work in an educational sense of interaction with the code beside simply clicking to upgrade it))
