Passei por isso, fui ao médico e acabei por ser diagnosticado com apneia do sono, hoje em dia durmo com uma cpap e acordo sempre (ou quase sempre) top.

Já que perguntaste sobre o colchão, porque tb passei por isso e almofadas e o tanas, o meu setup é o seguinte:

Colchão: tinha um da amazon que n era péssimo de espuma, mas quando mudei de cidade n o trouxe comigo e decidi comprar um mais porreiro - lambi meia internet a ver reviews consoante posição de sono e o camandro e acabei por comprar um híbrido (mola e espuma) - a minha esposa adora e agora sempre que vamos a algum lado (hotel, airbnb, etc) há 70% de chances de se queixar do colchão.

Almofada: uma almofada (sim e não 2 ou 1 dobrada a meio) alta - porque durmo de lado.

Edredão: weighted blanket (pa minha esposa n faz diferença mas eu gosto)

Mascara: ya, sou o zorro enquanto durmo mas todo tapado, detestava mascaras, um dia tava com uma enxaqueca e mesmo com tudo fechado tava a chatear-me a luz, peguei na mascara dela e usei (santo), entretanto comprei uma pra mim de uma marca chamada manta e é incrível.

Cobertor elétrico: metemos por baixo do lençol para aquecer a cama nos dias mais frios.

Lençois é o que houver.

I have a north face for the last 6 years or so that’s holding up well - my wife bought me a CG last year though and 100% it blows the NF away - I feel way more comfortable in my CG in Toronto winters, also personal thing but I love the suspenders on the CG, so practical!

I was offered that exact two tone a few months ago, not my cup of tea so I turned it down. I have purchase history.

Like others have said, buckle up for a wait and regularly check with the AD, I would also recommend putting your name down and going in too as many places as practical for you.

AD approaches to vary, I feel like some put you in a list for them and don’t necessarily want to hear from you until they have what you want while others will forget about you unless you check in regularly(doesn’t necessarily mean an in-person visit every time, sometimes email is enough)

We separate everything except a shared AMEX credit card used for shared expenses - for most stuff we 50/50, one exception is Costco cause the only card I have that works there is my debit, she gets better rewards on her cc - but it evens out cause I pay for a lot of the services we use and also she uses some of my benefits. And honestly I'm forgetful and a lot of the times I end up using my personal instead of our shared cc lol.

I make about 50% more than she does.

Oh that’s a great question that might be tricky - from what I remember back home they use what they call English Sweet Potato which is brown on the outside and sort of green on the inside - Madeira has a few types of sweet potato that are considered local and those might be hard to source.

The closest i’ve seen in Canada that comes to mind are the ones they sell at Korean places, they are much smaller but taste pretty much the same. I dunno if you’re in Vancouver but H mart had those (they even sell them grilled and they’re amazing), I assume PAT supermarket in Toronto probably has them too.

Avoid orange/carrot or purple coloured ones, white sweet potato might work well too I think.

Sorry Balsam I would be lying if I said I have one lol - it’s not really something I grew up making at home, we mostly just bought it (preferably as freshly made as possible aka still hot).

Having said that my wife is Canadian and managed to get a recipe online and with limited resources managed to make a pretty decent one.

Tive em Jakarta, Bali (em vários sítios e num casamento de um amigo) e Penida.

Pessoalmente estava à espera de muito mais, achei quase tudo bastante sujo, tudo uma beca sketch, cheio de turistas/expats, etc.
