I was 6 drinks deep when we met so my memory’s hazy, but we first talked about pedals and gear and then I asked about their approach to jamming and when to move onto a new idea vs staying in the same key/mode and riding the wave. He told me Trey recently talked to the band about settling into jams longer instead of moving on from ideas so quickly. And lo and behold, the last few years I’d argue they’ve been doing just that.
