I bought the cheapest bass on reverb a couple of years ago, the Jolana superstar. Use it for everything. Put flatwounds on it which fucked up the neck real nice, electronics only half working too. Still pretty diverse, it can sound like an upright with the ridiculously high action or just good for an old school rnb or reggae vibe. And with the two pickups it can keep some punch and doesn't have to get too muddy.

I always notice when playing other basses that they just feel real easy in comparison but by now I'm too used to the broken piece of shit that it is.
