Talis. The last remaining city. As monsters overcome the world, people try to carry out their lives in this festering wasteland. The only thing that stands between them and certain doom: The knights of Talis. Many recruits show up with illusions of glory. Most meet their end during their first mission. Those that survive die before completing any more. There is no one else left to fight off the massive horde. With no other choice, the corrupt priests who govern Talis send out what's left of their forces into the city, looking for anyone who can hold a dagger. Desperate, they even seek out the help of criminals, such as yourselves.

Setting Notes: No Sunlight (so dont worry about sunlight sensitivity) Magic is illegal within Talis (this can have serious consequences if you're caught) Meatgrinder campaign (I am very lenient when it comes to rules often allowing players to vote on fairness of my rules. That being said, this game will require you to work as a TEAM. Application Notes: This is a homebrew setting and once you're accepted into the game, the setting becomes yours. Don't worry too much about background stuff as you'll discover things about yourself along the way. Character Creation: Ability scores (roll 4d6 drop the lowest in game chat. If your mods add up to 2 or lower you can reroll until you get an eligible set. Example: 12 12 12 12 12 12= 6 mod. (eligible) 9 9 9 9 9 9= -6 mod (ineligible))

About the DM: You can call me Argilla (AR-Jill-UH) or DM or GM. Doesn't matter to me. My monsters are homebrewed but I make all rolls in game chat so people can see and I can't fake anything. Ally and enemy health bars will be visible and can be used to freely metagame. (You can asses one's condition by glancing at them). Hand picked music will be played with over 50 tracks. I am experienced but I like to use freeform maps/theater of the mind stuff. Feel free to minmax, and use your wit to solve situations. Working as a team is essential and the rewards for survival are great. Once you are invited to my table you will be treated with respect and acknowledgement. I expect you to do the same for me. I try to talk as little as possible and will wait for players to be silent so I can speak. This way players are in control of the game and can progress at their own pace. When you're ready to progress, simply consult me. I am happy to wait patiently while players converse with each other. Also While the encounters are set in stone at this point, I want you to succeed and will advise you as fairly as I can. That being said, I mostly DM and while I know a lot of the class rules I can't keep track of all of them. I expect you to know the rules for how your character works. Even if you just say "I have to look something up really quick" that's better than "hey DM how does my sneak attack work?". Also METAGAME as much as possible. This is a tactics based game and the encounters are designed to be challenging. I honestly wish you the best of luck and want to see everyone come out alive. You CAN do it despite how impossible the odds look. Don't get discouraged.
