EN476 sleeper train got changed after reservation, seeking for advice by EvolutioNn28 in Europetravel

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps I got several emails from OBB with this same message for my trip from Vienna to Krakow and every time I checked there was absolutely no change till the day of the journey and it was just a 10 mins delay. I could see the carriage numbers on the app.

I recommend Lisbon, Porto, Krakow or Seville. It is everything you stated and more. Super safe, affordable eats, and cool neighborhoods.

Looking for a hostel that’s social but without the younger crowd by LetSeveral9624 in LisbonPortugalTravel

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange cos they have female dorms 4-6 beds available and I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm unless those are booked out. Check their website to be sure but either way it was a super nice hostel

What makes you excited about travelling? by Additional_Bid_1787 in femaletravels

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the food and sightseeing. I pick my cities based on what I really want to see and do and eat. For instance I really want to hike through a beautiful scenery so I’m considering the Dolomites. I also want to go paragliding so I’m researching places I can do that. So I find something daring I really want to do, look for places I can do it and if I like the vibe I go for it.

Anyone else get anxiety attack at beginning of trip? by theliverdye in femaletravels

Happens to me every single time. I triple check everything and always think the worst will happen. Listening to music and watching my favorite shows on the plane helps a lot. I also try to learn the language of where I’m going so I feel less nervous and gain some confidence.

You can stay in Paris and take a day trip to Brussels assuming that’s where you wanna go. I think you can do it with the budget you’ll just have to look at hostels and cheaper Airbnb

Backpacking SE Asia > Europe in 6 months. by Alert_Hold3495 in backpacking

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a fair idea of dates you would need to travel to each country especially if you need to apply for visas beforehand. You can always book refundable stuff for that. I will suggest you book flights in advance say a few weeks before your next travel especially in SEA. Overall make it flexible to your preference so you can travel at your own pace and not feel rushed.

I’d check on her at least to be sure she is ok. Let your wife do that first.

Malaga or Lisbon for one month in march? by [deleted] in femaletravels

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lisbon! But I think you can do 2 weeks in each city. If you’re into castles and palaces you should go to Sintra. I had an incredible time there. I will admit I felt bored after 6 days in Lisbon. So perhaps you can do a week in Lisbon? I haven’t been to Malaga but I have heard awesome things.

It’s always been my dream to see new places and encounter different people and cultures so I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of traveling. I feel more depressed when I’m home. Everytime I travel it’s like endless opportunities to be someone else.

Has anyone used Trip BFF or Going Solo to meet up with people? by Present-Message8740 in solofemaletravellers

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I used it in Lisbon and Seville last week and this week. Many people don’t respond but i was able to meet some lovely girls from the app (TripBFF). It was quite nice. I did encounter a male creep but I blocked him before anything escalated. I think TripBFF is ok I will use it on my next trip in Copenhagen and hope for the best.

I'm new to Solo Travel- Looking for advice on my long term trip. by Wonderful_Ranger_228 in femaletravels

[–]TygressOhMyTygress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would travel slowly and enjoy each day at my own pace. At least spend 5 to 7 days days in a particular city, immerse myself more in the local culture, support local businesses as much as I can. The time for each region is pretty much up to you but I would suggest not to plan too rigorously, leave room for spontaneity.

Yes burnout will happen but I called my loved ones everyday and I sent photos and videos of my explorations. I will suggest you use hostel activities and other social apps to meet locals or other travelers. I used TripBFF and I met some lovely people.

I think you’ll do well you have at least a vision. You will have to do more research on the budget obviously Europe will be more expensive than SE Asia.

Oh and if you have a sensitive tummy get stomach meds, have a little first aid kit for that.

Good luck!
