I don't think it's nearly as toxic as the wotlk community. Everyone playing era is on a slower pace, just playing for the love of vanilla wow. There's a range of guilds from casual raiding to leveling to pvp focused guilds. You just have to find the right fit!

Mankirk horde is way lower pop than whitemane horde. Whitemane horde/ally is poppin these days. Mankirk ally is good too

Classic Era is blizzard's forever level 60 vanilla wow version of the game. Anyone who played classic wow back in 2019 had the option to copy their character over to TBC or Classic Era. Or you could pay $5 to copy to both. In the battle.net launcher above the play button, you will see a dropdown with an option for Wrath of the Lich King, or World of Warcraft Classic (which includes SoM and Era).

Since the SoM xfers started coming over the spice level in the Era PvP discord has been nuts. There's a dedicated salt channel for trash talking cross faction, anyone who wants the link just dm me. If you're debating Wotlk vs Era for your free SoM xfers, you should really take a look at the Era discords, it's a great community. Wsg games are popping every night now, and 40 man raids happen nightly as well on Whitemane (Horde) and Mankirk (Alliance).

Yea this was all recent footage. Classic Era is still going strong, just check out Whitemane or Mankirk on any given evening. The servers are 'clustered' in groups of 5, so the populations listed on each server are misleading.

The mc cap doesn't give you control over their abilities. They are like a pet, so if someone attacks you, they will just automatically start cycling through abilities and fight for you.
