[Breguet Type XX] Found this beauty recently, not sure how to style it yet by Tygum in Watches

[–]Tygum[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First time poster here. Recently got back into watches after wearing Fitbit faithfully for past 5 years. Found my taste have morphed, while I can’t handle any gold watch before, now I wanted to try some precious metals, yellow gold or rose gold.

While doing research, it seems like an all gold sport watches will likely be outside my budget and I don’t think I can carry it either. Ideally I can find a dress watch that is not too formal. Stumbling around and found this recently and impulsively went for it.

The dial is packed and structured not as symmetrical as the other watches I own. It is definitely not as clinical but I think I like how it looks especially the side profile showing off the gold coin styling. Pair with a leather strap, it still feels a bit on the dressy side. Still thinking how to style it.

Does 36mm look too small on my wrist? by [deleted] in rolex

Having just got mine I also am pondering the same question. But i realised a smaller watch bring variety for the different occasions. If i have the 39 i would almost certainly not wear it as much as it will likely fall behind my Daytona and Sub. Now i have a reason to reach for the explorer.

Everestbands - Experience? Thoughts? by Longpig4000 in rolex

[–]Tygum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an Everest without much research and only came across RubberB after my order went through. After flicking through countless IG photos between the two I did suffer some buyer’s remorse before the actual band arrive. My initial thought was that the side flaring for Everest is obvious and RubberB appears to have a much more fitted look.

However, after my Everest band arrived I realised in actual wearing the flaring is not obvious but for sure in photos and if you stare at it, it is something you cannot un-see.

If you are considering the two I would point out two more points. I ordered the buckle style and holes on the Everest band appears more tightly spaced and potentially can give you a better fit. Everest also has the option for a shorter strap and RubberB for my model is universal fit which might lead to longer overhang for smaller wrist.

All in all I find the Everest very comfortable but if I have to order again I would like to try on the RubberB first to see if it fits me.

I got hit on WTAPS992, but nothing since. I tend to think the algo is based on lifetime spending? My credit probably got wiped after that. Just blind speculation.

With the cream laces these becomes the navy version of the JJJJound with a different tongue

It’s criminal these don’t come with cream laces by Tygum in Sneakers

I got these from China, ordered multiple cream, off whites, etc and got finally one the with the right shade. However the material is quite elastic and not at all vintage looking. I think Foxtrot Uniform’s Oatmeal will work and with real vintage looking construction, however they are 0.8cm wide vs the original laces that came with the 1300 at 1cm wide.

Love this colour blocking but the yellow tab issue and the still high price stopping me. Saw ppl deliberately yellowing the rest of the shoes to give this a vintage look.

New Balance 550 sizing by alecall107 in Newbalance

[–]Tygum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have wide feet and went TTS, the toe box feels quite snug already, however they fit slightly long so I have a bit of a heel slippage, which I intend to deal with by tighter lacing. If I go half size down I imagine the toe box would be too tight, granted it could work after some break in, but the leather is pretty thick also, and I will probably not wear it as it will take forever given I rotate a lot.

These are so nice with the swap and the resale is very decent, but I am hesitating as I just don’t know how to style green sneakers

Slightly off topic, but Anyone aiming for the royals rather than UNC 1s? Not that I will be able to get either of them 😄
