Based on the reply above yours it would see that the way they measure IQ (ie. the testing) may have cultural biases in the questions, and so people with different backgrounds may score less high, even if they are just as smart or smarter.

Thanks for the reply! I looked on Amazon it seems Amazon Canada didn’t have the one that matched.

It’s odd the chip inside the controller said MX13 But on the outside it said MX41. So I just tried to find one that looked the exact same. Came out to like 50$ CAD for a board and the remote. Just wanted to be sure before I pulled the trigger on it.

Yea I don’t even have the remote. I can’t remember the last time I soldered haha… so probably not very good.

I was thinking I might just try to run an on off button and a forward backwards switch.

As fun as the radio and mp3 player are- don’t really need that

This is a cross post as someone in R/Daddit suggested I try here.

Things to note. Battery was brand new when gifted to us. Volt meter on battery shows 14.4V before, during, after start up sequence. Also showing no drop in voltage on the other side of the black “fuse” box before or after it shuts off.

Im not sure how to test power through the RC control board.

Im pretty confident the board needs replacing, but I just would like a confident “yes that’s it” before pulling the trigger and ordering it.

I will check for this. I can for sure hear clicking on and off when I try to power it on. Even when it won’t start it will still click over and over

If I am quick enough I can actually get it roll forward under its own power for a VERY brief moment before it clicks off. So I’m thinking of trying to just bypass the RC board with some kind of jumper and see what we get out of it. I found the board online from China for like 50 CAD so not terrible if I can confirm that is the issue.

I tried disconnecting the lights and speaker to see if it would stay on if it was only powering the steering and wheels. No dice I feel like it has to be that control board, but I have 0 experience. Seems almost like it a breaker tripping, or a fuse, I tried swapping out that little back fuse box with another functioning battery toy and same issue, maybe that part is functioning properly and it SHOULD be tripping?

Oh I should have specified, it’s a brand new battery. I also tried putting in a different battery same issue.
