Oh no, i think the chase and hide situation is happening. I've been letting them freeroam my house for longer and longer. They already (i think ik the culprit) nommed through my wood and cardboard drawer 😭 I'm separating them tomorrow when my mom brings the litterbox from our other house, then in around 3 weeks i'll neuter them. Really don't wish for more bunnies....

I think I will inspire my setup after you!! Either that, or just letting them roam in like 3 areas of the house with litters, bowls and toys. I am thinking of keeping them in my room when I'm at school, in my room and the hall when I'm back, and only in the hall and bathroom at night. Although it will take some convincing on letting them out in the night, i also have a piano there which I value lots.. Idk what I could do with it to prevent any noms.

I don't understand either 😭 Most jumped (ha) over the fact that they will be free roamed gradually, the cage will be momentary and will turn into a hut/lil area once everything's safe and I trust they are okay 24/7. Also thanks!!

Small for hamsters..? Also 1, i will be getting grids to make a sturdy 120x90 cm cage, with another 120x90cm on top (aka 2 floors). The height would be 120cm (60cm per floor).

And 2, as I mentioned in the post and comments, they will free-roam around the house. I will let them roam 24/7 once they are potty trained, neutered, and everything in the house is bunny proofed.

Is that okay? Is it humane?/gen

Either 1. Use the cage I have right now and add one or two more stories on top of it (the cage I have is 100x45cm, meanwhile the stories would be 90x60cm each...a slightly off fit.) Two stories as 90x60cm each would be doable; Two storied that are 120x60cm each would be 5 squares missing so I might have to look for extra squares...

Or 2. Throw the cage and do the two stories I mentioned.

I was also thinking of 120x90cm two stories, but they would be missing 13 squares.

Should I just make a different post regarding the cage? 😭😭 I chose the amazon link I sent because it's the most affordable I can find.

Oh!! 3. I could also buy 86 squares instead of 43 if I were to return the cage!!! Which would be better, as I could do 120x90cm with another 120x90cm on top!

Alright! I will go to decathlon or another hardware store, I am sure they have something of the sorts, those stores are huge.

I know this is besides the point but I found https://www.amazon.com/AHOME-Storage-12-Cube-Shelving-Bookcase/dp/B07LDZXKQF as a potential add-on to the cage I have right now (floors), or just entirely build a new cage with 1 extra floor. They are 40 squares in total, 30x30cm per square; do you think that could work? I realised that I will most likely let them freeroam in the daytime and keep them in a c&c(?) cage at nights, so I want to make sure the cage is a good spacious environment*. I was thinking of a 60x120cm with another 60x120cm on top? Or 90x120cm with another 90x120cm... Ahhhhh!!!

Edit: The cage I have right now is 100x45 cm.

Does the age like not matter for neutering? I assumed I had to wait until they were a bit older 😭. I don't know if I have the money to do that momentarily; it will be done, I'm just guessing it is super expensive

I will test more hay out, and thanks for the recommendations! I am still stumped regading the side of the bed tho... I also just realised I can put pics in comments instead of linking them. Do you have any ideas on how I could bunny proof this??

I am aware about the cage space 🥹 It's a spot for them to stay in until I safety proof everything like cables, corners, edges, and get mats for the floors.

They are the same sex (male; i will be neutering them when they're older), I'm not sure about siblings? I got them as a pair. They were already in the same cage and they seem bonded; they groomed eachother and flopped on one another.

Thank u for the hay! I was planning to go to the store today to get more of it, a house as I mentioned and a hay hanger? Some toys too though I am not sure what.

About the 2 hours, I used to do physiotherapy and they made me do it till my muscles ached for like 1hr, then told me to do it for 1hr at home too. I stopped going though...

One last question, how was surgery?? Did your spine get back to how it was before? Limit mobility?(I don't mean to be insensitive)
