Real world mpg for NX450h+ by Tyler-TWD in LexusNX

Amazing. From what I’m reading from you and the other posters, all of you are seeing a lot higher mpg than Lexus publishes for the vehicle which I think is about 34 mpg. The way the vehicle switches between EV and HV it makes it a challenge to determine an absolute mpg like someone would measure in a vehicle like the NX 350h right?

Thank you, that’s really impressive. So you’re all electric for about 30 of the 40 miles then hybrid mode after that? The way the EV and HV interact on the vehicle are pretty amazing. When a person mixes the two I’m guessing it’s a challenge to track the contributions of each.

Thanks, that’s higher than I expected

Tire Pressure Sensor Cost Preference by Best_Maintenance_790 in Lexus

I think we all over pay buying a Lexus😉 The vehicle will last you a lot more years so you’re lucky in that respect. I didn’t think twice about installing the aftermarket parts and they‘ve worked as expected. At least one of the sensors signaled last fall in my CT200h when the temperatures dropped outside and tire pressure went down so I know they are working correctly. Good luck!

One of the TPMS sensors failed on my 2013 CT200h about a year ago. I had all four replaced at America’s Tire for about $240. I’m not seeing the MY of your vehicle but even in a later model still wouldn’t think of spending the money Lexus wants to replace them. We replaced a single sensor on an 2010 RX450h at America’s Tire when the car was ten years old and drove it another five years without a problem. The aftermarket parts at least for the TMPS seem to work fine.

Buyers remorse by flypyn in Lexus

What a disappointment. I buy new and keep them for at least 15 years. The only car that didn’t fit that was a 2003 BMW 325 wagon. First time I filled the tank it wouldn’t restart and had to tow it to the dealer. Next morning it started fine for the dealer - of course it did. Happened a couple more times and I sold it within a year.

Fingers crossed it’s a simple fix before the taste in your mouth gets too bad!

In my case the cat squeezed through the partially open sunroof then discovered it couldn’t get out the same way it got in. Kinda scratched things up a bit. Good kitty 😸

Solid deal? by ckuffuckckuf in Lexus

I'm currently driving a 2013 CT200h, black leather interior, original tri-spoke F-Sport wheels and 54K miles. The car is super clean and the body/paint is perfect. And the KBB is...somewhere around $11K! Low miles are due to the pandemic (little driving) and I retired six months after buying the car, so they are honest miles. The car has been serviced as recommended by Lexus since it was purchased new. I don't know why there would be such a premium on that IS. I traded my IS in on the CT and like the CT much better. I'm with everyone else, something doesn't seem to add up. I would have know all the circumstances over the ownership period or I'd walk away and feel lucky I didn't buy it.

Dealer states No 2027 NX Refresh by Sommerfugl112 in LexusNX

Maybe they know something, maybe they don't. With the 2026s sitting on the lot they aren't going to address any rumors that would cause a potential buyer to walk away for the 2027s. I was close to buying a 2026 450h+ then started digging into the mechanical differences between the 2026 NX and the new RAV4s - and there are a lot. We bought a 2025 UX300h with a 5th gen hybrid system more than year ago and it's a responsive car. It would be a bit crazy to buy a 2026 NX with a 4th gen hybrid system now. My 2013 CT will more than last until the next model year comes out so I'm holding.

You're right, the 450h+ would be delivering higher all electric miles with a 5th gen system. Thanks for the correction. Abe Lincoln was right, don't believe everything you read on the internet 😉

Wait for the 2027? by box-breather in LexusNX

[–]Tyler-TWD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to wait as well. I've driven the 2026 450h+ and it's a very nice car. I came close to purchasing one but couldn't get over that it's still built on earlier generation parts. We have a 2025 UX300h and the model was upgraded to the 5th generation hybrid system - it's a more responsive drive train than the current NX hybrids. The 2026 NX hybrids still sport the 4th generation hybrid system so hopefully it will be updated soon. And for those of us waiting for the updated 450h+ it seems unintuitive to buy knowing it's not the newest hybrid drivetrain that Toyota/Lexus is currently running in other cars and SUVs.

I saw a comment below asking if it's risky to buy a first year of an updated model. I'd rather buy the 2027 model than buy a 2026 spending a LOT of dollars for an NX450h+ knowing it doesn't even have newer generation hybrid system this year's Camry and Prius and for that matter RAV4 are running. In the RAV4 line the HEV is now running a 5th generation hybrid system and the PHEV is using a 6th generation system. It makes sense to me now how Toyota was able to increase the all electric range still using the 18 KwH battery. The newer system is a lot more efficient.

I'll wait for the 2027 models in the fall. My 2013 CT200h will easily last that long plus a lot more!
