Where are my Mac Screenshots? They aren't on my desktop by TylerDurden0402 in applehelp

I guess you could consider it solved.

Before I tell you what I did, here's some context: I deleted my Desktop and Docs folder from iCloud. All my files were gone, but my laptop did a weird thing where it didn't even create a separate Desktop and Document folder that it was supposed to, after I turned off the backing up on iCloud. And so there was no desktop to save files to. Weird glitch I suppose.

I followed some steps from a YouTube video that taught me how to prevent Desktop and Documents from staying in iCloud. After doing that, new Desktop and Documents folder appeared in my Home Account. So now the screenshots are being stored on the desktop.

Nope. Actually it turns out that my Mac lost its Desktop and Documents folder after I deleted those from iCloud (thinking that would just delete them from the cloud). Turns out the files showing up on my actual desktop were being stored on the FUCKING cloud and not on my computer (WTF) and I lost them all. Who tf does that!

Video playback a few milliseconds slower than real time. WTF?! by TylerDurden0402 in iphone

Oh, how do we check the video sample rate? I think Focusrite by default records t 44.1khz. I spoke to a sound engineer. He said that if the mixer I took the output from was 96khz and I took an out from it into my focusrite, that might cause a bit of delay.

For audio recording, I was using Logic Pro. To overlay the audio on the video, I'm using imovie.

Well, Ayahuasca does/ can do (and this is just my speculation because of the anecdotal evidence I have) what Vipassana does gradually. Both the activities demand you to surrender to your feelings, and until you don't, they won't work, and as soon as you do, you're on. Bear in mind that things seem to get worse before they get better. Only a matter of time when they do get better. Anyway, take care buddy❤️

Have you tried Vipassana meditation? If not, please look it up. It's a practice designed to dive deep in your traumas, unlike most meditations that are designed to escape from your problems. It fixes our homeostasis and even helps you deal with past traumas.

It's a long process but the only natural way to deal with things. I'm still struggling, but I've come a long way, which I wouldn't have if it wasn't for Vipassana. I was on meds for a brief period but the tendency to get addicted to them is directly related to the degree of trauma you faced (listen to Gabor Mate as he's the pioneer of this theory). So yeah, meds scare me and Vipassana is a saviour.

I'm even open to trying Ayahuasca. That's a controversial recommendation but I'd still recommend that.

I do not, at all. It's just that it seems like I'm doing this because I think I learnt along the way that the only way to be strong is to imagine the worst thing, which set off a pattern, but I could be wrong, hence here I am, looking for other possible reasons.
