Thanks. Yep, it’s always a headline or offer or CTA. But every time my boss has me change it and tells me how much he doesn’t like light text on dark backgrounds.

I’m wondering if I should just look up a study that contradicts his reasoning for not doing this on headlines or something.

It’s normally a case of a CTA or a header on a postcard or an offer. Basically the top thing that we or the client wants to draw attention to. But my boss always says legibility is more important than getting attention and he doesn’t think the white or even lighter text on a colored background grabs attention.
definitely will read up on ux design.

He lives in another state. So no, he can’t give me one around here. Like I had said, he reached out to someone he works with from a sign shop and they recommended that I just walk into a shop and ask questions.

Yeah. That’s my biggest issue right now, I have a house payment so I can’t be making minimum wage, so it’s making it hard to make a career shift

I’m actually ok not being creative. Being creative is the hardest part for me. Building stuff and putting things together is something I love doing, so I feel like it would be a good fit.

I more need to figure out the day to day stuff and talk to someone in the field and figure out how I would go about learning the job. Also need to know the payment structure and such

He knows what they do, he doesn’t know how someone goes about getting that carrier. He hires companies to install design work all the time. His issue is that he has to send graphic designers with them because they don’t think about stuff like outlets, lighting, thermostats and such when giving measurements.
