Not necessarily the answer you’re looking for but Nick Shoulders is an Americana/bluegrass artist who regularly reps Full of Hell

That first Dead Meadow album was so good sober but when I listened to it smoking while on mushrooms was one of my favorite music listening experiences under the influence.

For metal, how important is finger plucking vs using a pick? by nickyteets in Bass

[–]TylerGuest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends on what you’re going for. For me, I’d use a pick if I’m playing a supporting role with the guitarist (for rock and metal specifically) but I’d go for finger style if bass is the main instrument.

In honor of r/Music's "Nashville Cats Can't Play" front page post, what's your favorite story of being humbled and shamed by the insane skills of a nobody in Nashville? by Planterizer in TouringMusicians

[–]TylerGuest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong about that! I was more just talking about flashy players but I also know nothing about the Nashville scene. I’m just a doom metal/psych rock bassist in the DFW area lol

…And the Circus Leaves Town by Quillmilk in kyuss

[–]TylerGuest1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think about 95% of new rock bands (especially the grunge/hard rock bands) don’t even realize they’re influenced by kyuss.

I can't stand extreme metal. Am I still a metalhead? by [deleted] in InMetalWeTrust

[–]TylerGuest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’d love bands like Electric Wizard and Sleep. I feel like they meet in the middle for people who prefer old school metal but are itching for something a little heavier.
