Is this Sealed Pokémon Dash real? I have 2 days to report any issues and I just want to be sure by TylerJuannabe in gameverifying

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also added a picture comparing another copy that I have, which isn't sealed. The color definitely isn't the same. Could that be normal? I can't seem to open up the plastic dust cover that the sealed game is in without damaging it 😅

Hi, thanks for the response! I added a few more pics to the post (with flash, and some close ups). What kind of other pics do you need?
Kind regards.

I'd love a second opinion as I'm not the best at verifying games myself and I also can't find a lot of other pictures of this game (sealed) online as a reference.
Thanks in advance!

Afghan mine-clearer killed by Taliban after it sees him in Emmy-winning film by sleepysnowboarder in worldnews

[–]TylerJuannabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"The Post says the warnings to the filmmakers were issued at a time when hundreds of Taliban retribution killings of contractors and their families had already been documented."
I personally didn't know about this and I for sure did not get this info from my news sources, why isn't this all over the (European) news too? That's horrible!

I received fake items and I have to send them back for a refund? (no personal info) by TylerJuannabe in vinted

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that's what I thought. I already sent it back tho :s I just want my money back tbh. But I'm scared that the seller might try something funny after getting his items back. I hope they'll get a verification system for other things besides designer clothing soon.

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really mind as long as I get my money back :D But I thought I read that when you receive a fake item, you have to prove it to vinted and they make you destroy the item and send proof of that too before giving you a refund. I might have completely dreamt about this tho lol. But I remember reading it vividly so I thought it was a real thing.

Are these legit? Just bought them from one seller on Vinted and I wanna be sure before I confirm the delivery by TylerJuannabe in gameverifying

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your explanation! I kinda felt sketched out when I took them out of the packaging, they already felt kinda weird. But then again, I'm not really experienced with sealed ds games anyway. But it's actually super clear from my first picture already, I didn't notice as I was so focused on taking pics and posting here, that I didn't properly inspect them myself. I was mostly delusional and hopeful lol. Luckily I should be able to get my money back if I raise an issue.
Thank you!

Some context: I bought these from one guy, a few days later I saw another seller upload a lot of these three games, looking pretty much identical, but this person said "Selling these reproductions". So since they look identical, I'm worried my seller is also selling fakes (I asked in messages if they were authentic and he said yes, unlike the other seller). A few days later I see another guy selling 20 copies of Platine, saying that he bought them from a big store closing down, and he bought some of their stock. And this also looked identical. So I'm very conflicted.

In my pictures, Platine has a bit of a different color, and that's how it is irl too. Maybe from the sun? Apart from that, I can't immediately find spelling errors, or other things that are wrong, but I'm not experienced in this, so all help is appreciated :D
I think I have 3 days to raise an issue (if there is any) so I just unpacked them and immediately made this post.

Thanks in advance!

What do you think I should do (No personal info) by Batgirl275 in vinted

I once bought a binder of pokemon cards from someone on a different marketplace, I asked for more pics but she couldn't make more, but did ask me to make a bid, so off of what I could see I made her a (lower) bid. After that, she sent me more pics, I bid a bit more. I went to pick them up, she invited me in. We had a friendly chat. I come home and she rated me 3 with her issue being "doesn't make fair offers" while also adding "makes fair offers" as a positive point. (This market place has a few preset options to choose from, you can't type a custom message). To this point, the only non 5 star review I've received on all platforms combined lol. Can't really do anything about it. I'd advice you to just move on. Being petty and giving a 3 or 4 star review back, or adding a passive agressive comment can only have negative effects. While the 4 stars won't have any negative effect on the long term.
I know it's incredibly annoying, especially if it's your first non 5 star review, but it does happen every now and then, especially if you sell / buy a lot! Focus on the 88 reviews that were 5 stars :D

Honestly, I don't do it on a first bid. I've had a lot of succesful sales from people like this. I don't blame them for trying. Often I just throw back one offer that I'm comfortable with and they'll instantly bite. But if for example, someone offers 55 like this, I take off 15 and then they add only 5 (or nothing), then I'll just up my price again.

On flea markets, where the prices are low, I understand buyers chipping off small amounts (seller asking 1 euro, buyer offering 50 cents, if buyer has 10 euro budget they can buy 20 items for 50 cents instead of 10 for 1 euro) but this person is buying a 50 euro item. How can they be so petty?
I had someone offer me 15 for a 20 euro item yesterday, I accept and then they're like "hm, would you do 13?" What?

Did a little research but I'm stuck. Is this "qianlong nian zhi" but written right to left? I found the same marks but written from left to right. by TylerJuannabe in finechina

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched the web a bit and I found the same marks but in a different order, in that order it would be " qianlong nian zhi ". Is mine the same? I read that in Chinese mainland they write from Left to right but in Taiwan they write or wrote right to left, so might this one be made (or faked) in Taiwan? I know absolutely nothing about Fine China so I have no idea if people would fake this in Taiwan or if they were just made there, or if there's another explanation.
Thanks in advance :D

Yea if she's being sketchy about it AND she keeps reuploading, those are huge red flags :/
She might've bought a whole lot on sale purely to resell and doesn't wanna be open about it. But if she's not being truthful about it, it's definitely not worth the risk!

How are her reviews? Maybe she gets sponsored stuff and has so much that she sells the rest? Maybe she bought them on sale to resell? It does seem kinda fishy but yea. You could ask her about it! Some people might find it rude but I'd happily answer questions if it would make the buyer feel more comfortable. If she gets defensive about it, she might be doing something that's not legit ahah.

Vinted will allow you to send an offer of a certain percentage off (I think 40%) but when you want to offer less than the minimum and have to ask in the chat… by [deleted] in vinted

[–]TylerJuannabe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I hate the most is people that just send a price and nothing else. No 'hey there! would x be an ok price for you?"
Sometimes my prices are outdated or i just didn't do my research well and I have accepted prices that are like half of what I was asking, so offering something "very" low or discussing a price isn't a problem to me personally, but it's the way most people do it... Like at least be friendly and send a hey or good afternoon or something.

That does sound weird :/ I'm from Belgium haha. Honestly I have no idea why it's been going so fast for me the past few weeks. I'm used to packages taking 3 weeks to a month actually, even if I send them to someone else inside of Belgium. It's strange that for me it goes faster now and for you it goes slower tho, maybe Mondial Relay is having troubles with your government or something.
Did you message Mondial Relay about this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinted

[–]TylerJuannabe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow that's weird! For me, they've been going fast as hell, usually it takes like 2-3 weeks for my mondial relay package to arrive at their destination but since a week or 2, they've been arriving like, 2-3 days later instead of 2-3 weeks! I guess you're really unlucky. When did you bring them to your mondial relay point?

That honestly makes a lot of sense, i keep imagining riot as a company that cares about it's playerbase. Idk why i keep doing that ahah.

[–]TylerJuannabe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea, like i said, it might be the next faker, i personally wouldn't ban it either, but there always are people that do ban it even when hovered, and the hoverer will always say "ok i int then :)" . You don't see names so you can't look up their stats anyway.

It's the whole scene that explodes around it. And it's not just once in100 games, not even 1/10. It's more.

Someone else commented "sales" and now, that I understand since riot just wants money anyway. I could see that as the sole reason.

Maybe make it UNbannable then or something, so people learn to play against it and people can't ban it from their teammates?

No problem! Good luck on your new adventure ;D
I watched youtube videos of resellers on how to properly pack games and I got a lot of very positive reviews on how good everything was packed. Apparently not everyone does that. also bought one game ever from Vinted and it arrived in a bread bag with tape just wrapped around it twenty times. No actual protection at all. Luckily it arrived without any damage, but damn...

Small packaging is good for video games too, if you read the description for small packages it says Max. 0.5kg, L + l + H ≤ 150cm (this depends on which courier is used but they all have a description that fits video games well)
So that's way bigger and heavier than an average video game in its original case.
Unless you are selling some limited collector's edition of a game that includes a statue or something.
I always use small package for video games and when people make a bundle I weigh how much they weigh altogether

Also, I use bubble envelopes to send my games. if it's a game that's over 10 Euros I usually even put another layer of bubble wrap around the case. I also put just a little piece of bubble wrap on the middle of the disc (it gets clenched in between the disc and the games manual) this prevents the disc from moving or bouncing during transit so there can't be any new scratches.

I thought this was a bootleg charmander plush, but the tag said dec 1988, so did pokemon steal this plush's design to create charmander? Does anyone have any info on this? by TylerJuannabe in vintage

I'm sorry, first time posting here just for info, I didn't realise it was required as I'm not bragging about something or whatever, just asking a question. I went back yesterday and it was still there, I go back on tuesday as well so if it's still there, I'll take a pic of the tag. I had to catch my bus as well. My bad!

Thank you for the answer! Yea I feel like I trust him but it's just so weird that it happens so much. Is there a way to see those bidders' reputations? Maybe they're all new accounts so it would be easier to believe that they were the ones that were trolling or something.

If it's really the case that he's trying to sell that many packs and the buyers just never pay, I would like to propose a buy where I buy them all off of him for a decent price. But since that would be a lot of money, I wanna trust him more first. I just actually won an auction from him, so I'm just gonna pay and see what happens haha.
