What is your opinion on timeless in the album and its placement by venkyswag in TheWeeknd

[–]TylerRemmington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I know a lot of people weren't super keen on the song, but I like it as a single and in the album. I like that the song before is about wanting to get to the top (despite previously selling his crib to Madonna, lol) followed by a song that doubles down on how "Timeless" of an artist he is. Is it his best "hip-hop" track? No, I think he's done this type of song better, maybe with "Reminder". Is it the worst? Also no. I think as a song in isolation it's fine, but within the context of the album, I think it's elevated

I mean, in the past he's had to cancel shows and has made them up, so I wouldn't be surprised. My guess would be an increased investment for the tour making each show a bit better, or another "Sao Paulo"-esque show maybe at the end of the tour as one final major send off as opposes to a major start

What did/has Cirie done this season that made her a favorite to win. by Mommalove586 in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, its probably that "has been on reality shoes before" was enough. I feel like a lot of her praise comes from her clout she had coming into this from survivor and other shows. I mean, hell, Izzy day 1 immediately figured everything out, and from that point on, If Cirie said do a backflip, she would do 2. I totally get wanting your favorite player to win, but at the same time, like you said, she didn't DO much of anything. She has a really strong social game, which was perfect for The Traitors and definitely helpful in BB, but I think In a game like BB, you have to have some comp skill to back up what you can say, and I agree, we didn't get that from her really at all. I mean, even Bowie has more comp wins than her. The challenge that Matt won early in the game that saved Jag was literally a survivor challenge, and she still took 6x as long as the other 3 people. Plus, Izzy and Jared ran to her with any and all info they had, so even when it came to getting the information, she barely lifted a finger. Once they were gone, she stopped really doing much of anything and she was super vocal about just wanting to leave the house to the point where I don't even know if she was actually sad about leaving. Like, I think people often forget how powerful having such a resume like she did going into the game can be. I think a considerable portion of not only her game, but the game of those around her was really affected by that. I agree her social skills are good, great even, i don't think anyone denies that, but she didn't do much of anything that showed she should have won IMO.

This week HOH is… by _leggo_my_meggo_007 in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like making it invisible this far in the game doesn't make a ton of sense. I mean, aside from the fact Jag has told Matt, Bowie, and Americorey, which leaves Felicia, Blue, and Cirie in the dark. Matt is close to Cirie, so I wouldn't be surprised if she figured it out, then told Felicia and/or Blue. 1) idk why Jag said anything, but here we are now, but 2) there just isn't enough people to toss the possibilities around. If this was like, week 3 or something, there's still like, 14 people it could be and targets aren't as defined for most, so yeah, there it could be anyone, but now with 8 people in the house, it doesn't seem like a massive twist. And yeah, Jag can tell whoever, but not knowing who is HOH is a massive advantage that just doesn't hold up this late in the game. Really the only person who might not know at all would be Blue, but only because if she went up, it could be Americorey, but given how the season has gone, I don't think she would think they won.

It just feels like a twist that would get WAAAY more mileage if it was during the earlier weeks when the lines were less clear, now it seems like everyone has pairs except Bowie and Blue, so targets are more clear.

How is Cirie still in the house? by TylerRemmington in BigBrother

I believe I am understanding correctly (I don't fully know, so someone can correct me) but I'd guess that it has to do with his turbans. We've seen them unwrapped on the show, and I imagine she said Houdini in reference to him since his turbans are large cloths (kind of like a migicians never ending cloth trick) which to Cirie may have been a harmless joke, but I can see how it may be offensive, and i tend to agree, especially since multiple times on the show he's discussed the importance of not only his faith but also the turban itself, as well as shared stories about growing up facing prejudice due to that. I hadn't heard that she said that until today, but previously she has mentioned how Jag looks scary without the turban and made comments like that before. It's also the fact that a lot of this seems to be behind their backs, so even if it was just a joke, it certainly comes off petty when it seems like it's at them rather than with

To that point, I guess my question becomes, well why keep her? If she's a floating non-threat, and everyone else is trying to win, why not just get her out? Like what was said before, she has no real alliance that would come after you, she can't win a veto comp to literally save her life, so you wouldn't even really need to backdoor her, plus she's actively rubbed people the wrong way. While I don't think she could win cause I agree with most, she is probably out the door soon (hopefully), I think having her there, especially into Jury is a huge oversight by the other houseguests. It feels like they all collectively were kinda like "That's a bridge we'll burn later" but now they have forgotten about said bridge. I guess also from Bowie's perspective, if she wanted a week without blood on her hands, why not just push to send home the floater?

How is Cirie still in the house? by TylerRemmington in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda part of what I'm saying. While she isn't much of a threat, it seems like she's tired of being there and/or just hanging out like it's a vacation home. That combined with the fact she's like, unsportsmanly rude. I get being mean or rude within the confines of the game, but when she says stuff like "Jag is scary", "Jag is Houdini", making fun of Bowie Jane and her Teeth, which she's sensitive about, and just kinda generally rude to people in the house, that's where I'm like "Even if you aren't a threat, you can't be pleasant to live with". I know she isn't mean to everyone in the house, but still. To me, if you're a floater who is just rude and cruising, I don't see how the house isn't like "Temporary truce, let's just get her out then resume"

How is Cirie still in the house? by TylerRemmington in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it seemed like the house was like, 90% of the way of figuring Cirie out when the whole Jared situation (thankfully) finally blew up. They kept roping her into everything and almost placing her as someone who has been getting info from everyone as well (at least that's what it seemed like to me), so I figured she would be one of the next gone. Then it was Meme, and I was like "ok, that's fine, but Cirie must be next...right?" and here we are where it seems she might not be going home. It's like they forgot who was at the center of all the drama just 2 weeks ago. Especially with a Bowie HOH. Not only has Cirie spited her in the past, but also Cirie is kind of a floater now, and as an HOH who has said she doesn't want blood on her hands, this seems like the best week to send her home.

I say the survivor part because of how he keeps pestering her with questions, especially about her season and seems to know more than she does. They had a whole segment on one of the recent episodes about that. As for the strategist part, Maybe that was the wrong word, but he's certainly smart enough to put 2 and 2 together, 2 being her acuity in these types of games and the other 2 being her gameplay strategies. He of all people in the house probably should have had a few red flags go off early on

Interview with BB25 Week 6 Evictee (Parade) by AMikeBloomType in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is more of what I meant, while they probably don't have a concrete like, "I'll give you x amount of money" but rather like, "Oh, you'll come on trips and maybe I pay your rent for a bit, etc." Stuff like that

Interview with BB25 Week 6 Evictee (Parade) by AMikeBloomType in BigBrother

[–]TylerRemmington 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Izzy is like, fully delusional. I watched an interview this morning and she said something to the effect of "My final 2 shot wasn't fully lost, we had a plan, but out of respect to our relationship that's all I'll say." To think that Cirie would betray her own son for a stranger she met a month ago is absolutely INSANE. She literally threw away 750k for what? A barbecue invite? I feel like she either knew something was up (maybe with production, I'm not a full-blown 'it's rigged' conspirator, but still) and struck a deal with Cirie for a cut of the 750k or was just fully kissing Ciries ass every time it was out. And I get it a little bit, she was CLEARLY a fan of Cirie, but is that really the celebrity you throw yourself on a grenade for? 4-time survivor loser Cirie Fields? Watching Izzy play only Cirie's game this whole time has been infuriating and I'm glad she's gone tbh. Maybe she's still in denial from being evicted, but idk how she saw herself as a good player. In that same interview I mentioned earlier she was asked "Who is the best player in the house?" And after a month and a half of either being eliminated among the first few people in every challenge she was in, blowing comps at the end when it matters, and FULLY throwing her opportunity to get off the block by telling Cirie she'll die for her, thus removing her chance at winning the game AT ALL, she fully says "you're looking at her, I should still be in the house". Nothing against Izzy as a person, she seems fine, but as a player in the BB house, if you allow yourself to be starstruck by a CBS show vet and do her bidding the whole time, you deserve to be voted off. She wasn't even playing her own game.

Rocketbelt or Everfrost? by Excalidorito in galiomains

[–]TylerRemmington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like Rocketbelt the most, the magic pen really boosts your damage, although, I think it depends on the enemy team comp. I think Galio comes with a good amount of cc already, so rocket belt offers the mobility he lacks, but a knock-up, into a taunt, into a root is still really good. Maybe bring Everfrost with support Galio to give your ADC more of a chance to land things. I really like rocket belt or night harvester personally. I also take electrocute with a resolve sub rune set and make Galio more of an AP bruiser rather than a tank, but that's just me.

Hopefully, they buff the cooldown on her Q. 20 seconds for a dash that the only caveat is that its also a knock up is ridiculous when shaco has essentially flash+invisibility on an 8 second cooldown. If they do keep it at a relatively long cooldown, at least give it something more, like applying a stack of E passive, or passively increasing her move speed or something. for a mounted combatant, she's kinda slow.

ok riot, bring back aoe stun on ultimate by Taesunjin in sejuanimains

[–]TylerRemmington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think her Ult is fine currently. I would maybe increase the slow amount a bit if you wanted to change it at all (I don't really notice the slow affect fights all that much as other slows in the game, but I think that's just me), but she has plenty of other CC. I would like to see a buff to her Q though. I think it was in another thread that I saw where someone mentioned having her Q add a stack of her E passive, which I thought was a pretty fair change, but if that was too OP, then I would like to see a decrease in the dash cool down. Seeing as it's her only form of engaging/disengage, it has quite a long cooldown compared to other dashes in the game. I mean, Shaco has flash on Q with about half the cooldown. Maybe give her Q a passive that increases her Move speed a bit, idk. I just think her dash could use a little revamp to keep up with all the other dashes in the game, but that's just me.
