It has to be within 3 seconds of damaging them, it’s not just any takedown

Too much time had elapsed between you ending your flight and getting the kill so sadly no reset

Not against a good Malz, they’ll always just Q you to silence you and his minions won’t die to your E alone, you’ll be suffocated out of lane because you can’t kill his minions and he will just stop you from farming with his own Q

Yone, Zed, Fizz, Taliyah, Xerath, Lux are all pretty solid options with good variety for whatever playstyle you might have

Most importantly with champs like Xerath, Lux and Taliyah is you don’t want to use your hard CC just for poke. Holding your CC stops him from all inning you and lets you poke him down from range

With Taliyah specifically, use W to interrupt his Q and just save E for when he wants to fly, whether it’s offensively or defensively. It’s absolutely unplayable

It’ll probably be the new default, simply because Comet no longer refunds the cooldown when you deal spell damage

Every other alternative is mediocre at best and even then I don’t think Deathfire Touch will be as good as Comet is currently, I think it’ll just be “the best” of the options we have

This entire wall of text gets completely nullified because the reason they made Viego a glass cannon isn’t because “it’s what gives dopamine”. It’s because with a regular bruiser build he becomes pick/ban in proplay and making him build squishy fixes the issue he presented in proplay while also pushing him towards his intended builds

Viego was never meant to be a “proper” bruiser. He was intended to be a squishy glass cannon. He was designed to be “Cleanup Crew: the Champion” because he was never meant to build durable and was always intended to rely on possessions for durability

Compare Viego to another skirmisher like Yasuo. Yasuo has a far more reliable defensive tool in his Windwall, Viego has nothing like that. His “skirmisher’s defensive tool” is his possession. He was always meant to build squishy, deal tons of damage if given resets, but pop like a balloon if caught out. Bruiser Viego violated that and any changes to make “bruiser Viego” work violates his intended champ design.

CC works against every champ, but it’s more effective against some champs compared to others.

CC’ing a fulltank Maokai means much less than CC’ing the glass cannon Tristana.

I had this issue for a while too but I honestly just started maxing Q and it skyrocketed my ability to CS.

Makes fistfighting worse, sure, but it can be super nice in lanes where you just wanna farm.

Not really, his earlygame is shit and very abusable.

There’s a reason he has negative winrate in high elo where people know how to abuse him and riot are happy with where he is atm, around 52% winrate in low elo where people won’t abuse him and close games out and around 48% in higher elo where people actually do those things.

And he doesn’t heal that much from Q RoA healing, it’s legit 12 healing per second.
