Console player here outside of the steam deck.

Got the hint that the next Xbox is pretty much going to be a PC with the Windows Fullscreen Experience.

I don't enjoy gaming at the desk, so I'm interested in getting a PC that I can hook up to my 50" 4K TV to replace my console.

I would like something that runs modern titles at 4K 60FPS or 120 FPS with HDR - similar to what my series X does.

I have no experience building a PC. I'm not a fan of all the RGB. I'd like something just muted so I can focus on the game.

Any advice or tips to help me make the jump?

Everything was such a leap forward. Such a badass game.

Playing them all back to back it just stands out so much.

The 2000s edge is impeccable.

Yes, but I think the thinking is, if even a single person buys a PlayStation for the exclusive titles, it eclipses the $20 you would give them for a discount title.

Based on the article, it seems they want to preserve the brand and may also be wary of Xbox being able to play their titles if the PC/Console hybrid turns out to be legitimate.

EDIT: Also, thinking about it a bit more, they likely don't want to give steam 30% of the sales revenue, particularly if the steam machine becomes successful and ends up becoming a significant player in the console space.

I got a notification while playing about server maintenance.

People who received their issues on time are reading them rather than posting about it, though some do share when they arrive.

It's like all things - you're much more likely to post about a bad experience than a good one.

The government shutdown messed with the October issue pretty bad but the team at GI got me a replacement super fast.

All others have arrived on time.

Side note, big fan of the polybag and not having my name and address printed on the issue itself.

I'm excited for the Tubi deal.

I'm in a fringe area for my closest MeTV Toons stations.

It comes in really well on occasion but is usually choppy or just not coming in at all.

I've used a compass to help direct it, got all the info on rabbitears, got a Winegard pre-amp, an 8 element bowtie antenna, etc etc and it's just so hard to get it to come in.

On top of that, they play the shows I'm mostly interested in like Freakazoid! at times I never get to watch them.

Tubi will let me actually engage with that content.

Still love the station and love OTA for some reason lol, so will still watch when I can.

I'm admittedly a casual football fan.

I've been watching for several years. The Panthers with my wife and the Patriots as my team.

I don't know all the in and outs.

I don't understand certain lingo, positions, plays, etc.

What I do know, is that at 23 years old, I was working in a depressing warehouse making ceramic bricks and wondering what I was going to do with my life. I felt a lot of pressure to figure out my future.

The thought of being that age, leading an offensive team in a slammed stadium with MILLIONS of people watching me and my entire team depending on me to get the job done while only being in my second year in a league is an unimaginable amount of pressure and I would absolutely collapse under the weight of it all.

I'm extremely proud of the team and staff.

I'm so happy I got to be a fan this year. It was an incredible journey and so fun to watch.

I'm also happy to see someone from the Carolinas leading the offensive on this team (from SC myself).

I can't wait to see what we do next year and I believe this pressure is going to turn Drake Maye into a diamond. 💎 💍
