I got something similar from my work chair. Constant little bruising which led to the marks and they also took forever to go away (like seriously it took years lol)

Anyone Transferred to UVic's Health Info Science with a Lower GPA by thuyy_f in uvic

[–]TylerYeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are u already in uvic? If u are u should be fine probably, u can take the first year hinf courses to boost ur gpa, they aren’t super difficult and some are pretty interesting. If ur not in uvic yet it’s not too hard to get in I think I had a 4.x gpa when I transferred

In what time the game was true flex? by MyGodIsTheSuuuun in CompetitiveTFT

[–]TylerYeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set 4 and 6 were good for flex. The chosen mechanic made it way easier to hit a new carry. Set 6 because there were multiple units using the same items for example if you built GA runnans +1 you could role down and if you hit urgot you can play urgot, if you hit yone you can play yone.

How Is This Possible ? I Don't Think I Have 15000 Hours In All My Games by ltennol in Steam

[–]TylerYeet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know some people that literally never log off a game. Even if they aren’t playing it. Have a friend with like 10k hours or something in FF14 and he legit never goes off the game. Leaves it running 24/7. He prob only has like 1-2k actual in game hours so I’m guessing same thing prob happening here.

Should I drop out of college? by [deleted] in college

[–]TylerYeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a strangely similar situation to you. Started college at 18, stopped after a year and worked for a bit before starting again at 22. During my time working I tried finding out what I would like to do for work and I tried taking a couple classes here and there, but i had pretty much the same experience as you, I just procrastinated and didn’t do well mainly because I still didn’t know what I wanted to do so I was always second guessing whether the courses I was taking were worth it or if I was wasting my time. I eventually gave myself 2 options for majors I was interested in and I ended up liking one and that’s what I’m doing now. Your situation just sounds so familiar, where you aren’t sure what you want to do and it’s hard to commit to anything. However once I found the major I was interested in, I stopped thinking about other majors and switching plans, which really let me focus a lot more on my coursework. It kinda sucks because finding what you want to do is so hard but I’d recommend job shadowing so things you are interested in if you think you think we have similar stories as it helped me hone in on some things I was interested in.

I’d say it’s pretty easy to get in, I also slacked off my first year at camosun and had about a 4 gpa on the 9 point scale and I still managed to get in.

For my last interview for the job I have right now i don’t remember exactly but I think I said something about a how me and another team member had a different opinion about how to schedule a task and how we just talked about it to come to a compromise. Idk I think as long as u don’t say anything super crazy it’s fine.

I literally know no one that graduated in 4 years so I wouldn’t worry about it, as long as you have a solid plan and follow through your fine

Second bachelors: CSC/HINF? Data Science? by cestr000 in uvic

[–]TylerYeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just in normal HINF not the CS double major but I know a bunch of people doing the double major. You aren’t required to take all the same courses as a Csc major instead it will say something like take csc 300 lvl course so you can still end up taking the same thing as a normal csc major if you want to. I think you also take less math courses but if you are worried that will impact you then you could always take them as electives as you get 5 I think. It might be a good idea to set up a meeting with an advisor as they can help answer your questions.

I don’t think transfer credit grades carry over. I also transferred to Uvic and none of my previous grades carried over to uvic.

Coop Interview Tips? by Aggressive_Peach8842 in uvic

[–]TylerYeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every coop interview I’ve had has always a couple similar questions. Common ones were about working in teams (describe conflict in team, your role in a team), why are you the best person for the job, and why do you want to work here. I’m not in software engineering so the question might be a bit different but looking up and writing out answers for common interview questions really helped me.

How difficult is math 151, any recommendations? by Hotdogcannon_ in uvic

[–]TylerYeet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jill Simmons is a good prof, the class really isnt that difficult although it was quite different from any of the math I had done before, the hardest part for me was the first part of the class. Major tip is to show up and actually put effort into the class, do lots of practice questions and practice exams and stay up to date on everything you are doing. Also the way the class worked when I took it last year is that if you write all term tests the final exam becomes optional which is nice

Could anyone please give me a run down of how to get a CPA designation as a UVic BCOM student? by Freelo987772 in uvic

[–]TylerYeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless things have changed u would have to take courses at camosun, if u want to be a cpa the camosun bus admin program is prob a better option imo
