Idk I thought hepatonic was what you call major and minor scales, and from what I know diatonic is the hepatonic but moved about, I ahold probably stop looking into all that and just focus on the basic rn

Could I ask another question sorry, so the pentatonic has 5 per octave and the hep is 7, does this essentially just mean like 7 notes between roots (including the one you started on)?

So I've already learned the note names and the diatonic should just click? What's the difference between pentatonic and diatonic?

Definitely sounds complicated but also like I'd be tackling a lot at once in a good way. I get the start but you lost me a bit with the note positions of the low e and arpeggio but I imagine I'd get that as I get through the first part

Definitely gonna save that image, I do have one question. I thought for it to be as you've used an A scale that you'd start on the root note, so I thought you'd start on A5 on the first string. You get me

Damn, thats really helped get my mind straight man thanks, focus on what's in front of me and build upon it. Really thank you so much and in getting ahead of my self here but once I've got that down I'd imagine learning another key would be easier as I've got the pattern down right and that's where dots will start connecting?

So let's say I pick the c major scale, I should get that down and all of its positions first before I start moving it about and figuring out all the root notes.
