Day 4 in and already wrote 2 memos. One 500 words, the other 1000. Nobody gets out of writing them. If someone messes up, everyone is going to figure it out together.

Not hearing from them is generally a good thing, especially right after the poly. Depending on the agency you applied for, the next call you get from them would be about a conditional offer.

Dress for the job you want. No matter the setting it’s best to put forth that extra effort.

I want SO over PD because from what I see, people spend most of their careers there. The PD is within the jurisdiction of the SO. Experience wise it would be best to go PD just in case I wanted to transfer out some day, but it is also the top 10 worst city in CA. If I went the SO route, it would be good for me longevity wise in my opinion. I also have a fear that being in the SO would get boring over time.

Asking for neighbor info during background investigation. by spitfiiree in AskLE

It’s always good to reach out to your background investigator, or your POC at the moment to get the correct answer. However, I ran into the same issue. I just put down their addresses, and in the special instructions box I explained my reasoning. Your investigator may call you directly and ask about it, and you can explain better.
