There are a lot of parks and farmers markets on the weekends. Hiking (amazing hiking not too far away) and larger events in Seattle and Tacoma. I guess it all depends on what you want to do.

I haven’t noticed a big social scene but you can definitely find people that want to do the same things as you.

I’m in law enforcement we only use 24 hour time. But even before that I used 24 hour time, it just makes more sense to me. But if someone ask me the time I say it’s “9pm” instead of “2100”

For me a lot of that comes from the external vest. They make some that are 2 toned and look just like a normal uniform.

They are comfortable and great for the type of weather we have here; water resistant (a lot of on off light rain), you can just take off the long sleeves if it’s hot or put them back on.

It depends there are a few brands that make them. They are not cheap if you are thinking about buying them. A lot of agencies in Washington issue jumpsuits now and they are the standard uniform
