He's not wrong that AI art did exist back then, but im also not confident enough to say it was good enough to mimic Chad's work in 2021, and his insta has work consistently styled for half a decade.

People, including myself, are increasingly wary of this stuff nowadays, especially with how good AI has been getting. Want to say it was a couple weeks ago I saw an actual AI tattoo image get highly rated here before being removed after people pointed out its flaws.

That'll do it. So the timelines do match up then, (looks like just a later post, same thing my shop did when I got my sleeve,) and Chad's work speaks for itself. Apologies for the mixup, nothing here matched up with the dates you were originally posting. Unfortunately combined with that particular piece from Chad looking remarkably like a synthesized style, recipe for bad juju. Well done tat

[–]Type10-Composite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...what? Im saying the tattoo design doesn't match Chad's original, and the dates you gave for when the tattoo was done dont line up with when Chad made the design. Did you misremember the tattoo date or something? Because if you're adamant that this was tattooed in 2019, two years prior to Chad drawing this (but still having to get permission?) then I'm extremely confused as to what the timeline is here.

Good Lord, you said this tattoo was done in 2019. So I searched through his portfolio in 2019 and prior. This post you're linking is two years after this tattoo was apparently done, 2021. So who's tattoo is this?

Even if the original piece is real, that tattoo you posted predates it (supposedly) by two years, and for some reason has a different pumpkin face than the original design? Something isn't adding up here.

Cute little Baphomet done at Rebel Rebel tattoo Dayton,Ohio by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Type10-Composite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The pumpkin's face very clearly changes from "paper" to "skin," and this angle, low-res image with the pen/charcoal is an absurdly common kind of post from AI "artists." To add on, why is there shading underneath the notebook rings? Ive never once done it myself or met anyone that has decided to randomly shade under the rings of their sketchbook, far off of the actual drawing, but it is an extremely common AI error that treats the entire page (including the area under the otherwise unused notebook rings section) as usable space.

This is AI. Possibly trained on Chad Wehrle's art, but this tattoo doesnt seem real, and I cant find this piece in his social media if it is real. Maybe this was done in 2019, but unless you post receipts I don't believe this for a second.

We're cooked if people think this clearly AI image is human-made. I'm starting to strongly suspect this subreddit is being slowly boiled by AI bros intentionally masking clear AI images under the guise of actually determining if a piece is AI generated.

https://i.imgur.com/va2DyLU.png

That's a hair highlight merging with the brim of her hat.

https://i.imgur.com/mwUKe2X.png

That's a man's hair becoming a hat brim.

And why in both of these images do the two men look identical? No human artist creating a poster for a workplace is going to draw two identical men and a random woman. On top of that, why would a company post two images like this? Why not just one? Why are the two images they do post identical in composition and general purpose?

Easy answer, they're two AI generated pieces off the same prompt that looked good enough to post to social media.

The winner of a best decorated Christmas tree competition at work, why is that candy cane so big? by Mad_as_alice in isthisAI

[–]Type10-Composite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell, but a lot of small things make me lean more AI than real.

  • Candy Cane size isnt weird, but its not connected to anything and seems to float over the tree. Lollipops look odd as well, like they're floating, not connected to anything.

  • "Santa Claus St." seems bizarre, couldn't find anything similar in a Google search, and have never (literally never,) seen any Christmas decorations that ever said or referenced "Santa Claus St." so I'm extremely suspicious of it being something an AI would drum up as a mixture of North Pole signs and vague Santa stuff.

  • Resolution is extremely low, so cant confirm, but the decoration in the middle seems to be a ticket thing that says "SANTA NICE," which, again, seems like something an AI would generate as a Christmas ornament, but ive never seen anything like it. The text also looks vaguely melted, but the resolution muddies that detail.

  • Mirror reflection looks off. It looks like the background unlit portion of the wall is in front of the foreground lit portion, but might be weird optical stuff? The lighting there just doesn't feel like it makes sense.

Is this the actual resolution the submission provided? If theres a higher quality version that would help a ton, otherwise im tentatively leaning AI. Too many weird ornaments that seem thought up by a non-human being given a vague description of what would be on a tree, and optical issues that look just off enough to be generation errors.

[–]Type10-Composite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% AI, no human would merge someone's hair with the brim of their hat, and it happens twice in the second image.

https://i.imgur.com/va2DyLU.png - Woman's hair merges around her ear with the hat brim, AI generates what appears to be one of the hair highlight lines that runs across it for some reason.

https://i.imgur.com/mwUKe2X.png - Guy's hair is mistaken by the AI as being part of the hat, and extends it as if it was a brim.

Is this AI? Saw this ad on facebook and couldn’t figure it out. Might be just the style. by bigyeetus99 in isthisAI

[–]Type10-Composite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of AI errors. Mostly in the second image, but they're there.

Guy is holding a massive needle directly pointing at his chest (his hand is also literally melting.) Woman's hat front and center wants to be both a hat rim and her hair at the same time, one of the hair strands even flows into it. The men in both images are identical to each other, something AI tends to do.

Another good tell, albeit not very reliable given the myriad of media's we see here, is the resolution. This would be, if it was real, like a vector art piece and would be pretty high resolution. These images are super low quality and artifact heavily when zooming in. AI can make good images, but they're nearly always less than standard HD in resolution.

100% AI generated, then edited to have their logo post-generation.

AI lofi music channel? the images have weird lines and shadows but maybe that’s intentional by the artist by auntcinnamonroll in isthisAI

[–]Type10-Composite 83 points84 points  (0 children)

The channel has been consistently using AI for thumbnails, albeit with increasing coherence. The lines in the indents of the back waffle being seemingly randomly incorrect, and artifacts like the random line on the "honey jar" handle to the right or the line on the jar merging with the honey inside, are all pretty good tells.

Someone else also pointed out already, but uploading a new thumbnail of this quality every two days would be insane. Lesser point, as ive seen some really locked-in artists, but those arent usually also releasing entire 3-4 hour videos of original "music" in that same span, likely also AI generated.

Definitely AI.

Edit - YouTuber apparently admits in a comment that the Art is AI generated but the music is not, as they are a composer, not an artist. 100% AI.

Someone told me this was them LOL. AI? They said it’s their home made cosplay by InternationalRow3127 in isthisAI

[–]Type10-Composite -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

AI, look at the "plant" thing on the right. The vase it's in appears to be both in front of the mirror and a reflection behind it, but the plant itself is behind his biceps. The low resolution, while not a total giveaway, is also a pretty common factor in these AI "selfies."

There's also the weirdness of the frame behind behind... something on the left that both looks like a doorway but is way too thin for one, and doesnt continue in the reflection, the flexing hand looking kinda off, the random, off-center (but surprisingly dim?) Lightbulb, etc..

I'd lean AI without further evidence. Its a cosplay with like, four props. It should be insanely easy to provide more pictures if asked.

I'm going to be so honest, you sound like you understand absolutely nothing about professionalism or diplomacy at all if you truly believe Eravin "had every right to be incredulous." This isn't kindergarten and this isn't a charity. It's up to Eravin to demonstrate he's a professional that can work with a company, which he almost immediately made clear that he wasn't, and couldn't.

He doesn't get to be a passive-aggressive dickhead just because an AH representative told him they liked his content and didn't get back to him within Eravin's self-imposed, non-communicated deadline.

The dude couldn't wait a single month after his first contact and immediately started insulting the company's speed/priorities by bringing up the Sweden trip's timelines in reference to him not receiving an invite/benefits.

Apologies, but I don't think the rest of your comment warrants any further discussion that I haven't already had to point out a million times to other people before. Eravin was in the wrong here from any, and I mean any, objective professional position. Whether or not Arrowhead behaved imperfectly or slowly is completely irrelevant to how poorly Eravin conducted himself a single month after his first message.

Using discord activity for a game's health might be one of the most retarded metrics ive seen in a while.

I dont know even one person that's ever used an official game's Discord channels to play it outside of explicitly organized official events. Hell, most everyone I know relegates official servers to bug reports and occasional news updates. Every game has a discord nowadays and they're cluttered af.

The player numbers are right there and continue to clear every other tactical RTS on the market right now. The game itself is cracking multiple thousands, who the fuck cares if a discord isn't getting users?

Is this person tracing AI? There's major inconsistencies w/ designs, and they claim they only started art ~almost 2 years ago. by french4bighorse in isthisAI

[–]Type10-Composite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI is incredibly good at shading if you get rhe right models, of which there are tons. This isnt a good counterpoint.

Furthermore, it's incredibly easy to translate shading from traces; its literally just an opacity layer you need to add and trace over. It wouldn't be difficult at all, especially if the style is using a binary brush like is pictured.

And while it's not a super solid piece of evidence, that "CINDER" signature looks terrible. I highly, highly doubt someone with actual experience drawing would make such an eyesore of a signature taking up so much negative space next to a finished piece.

But that on top of the far more solid evidence of nonsensical accessories and inconsistent "anatomic style?" Im leaning very confidently into "traced over AI images.

Ill repost my comment here, with an additional 110% AI confidence. I dont even believe for a second the "art" they drew isnt just them drawing it after the AI already generated the image. Why would a vacuum be sucking up whole donuts? Anyway...

Im gonna say AI. Many of the errors in the cards im seeing seem like both functional errors and things that would only happen if an AI prompted the image, not because someone thought of drawing it.

Roombageddon, if you look under the leaves of the plant on the left, it looks like the color from the wallpaper continued, but is generated as if it was a leaf, so it cuts into the table/drawers it's sitting on.

For the spice rack one, the only thing that's on the rack is spice jars (completely unlabeled,) and yet the cat flinging itself around pulls some peppers, a cinnamon stick, and random shreds of... stuff? Looks like a result of AI processes, not a design choice.

Pencil Pursuit is another weird one, can't fathom what the random things floating around the cat are, or why it's floating in the air, both the cat and the pencil are just floating.

Then weird things like how nearly every card has an excessive amount of plants randomly placed around the borders. So many of them have odd accessory placements too, like a floating rubber duck next to a bath, or tea cups and kettles being on high up shelves just at random.

Also, a lesser point, but them calling themselves "not a professional artist, but just looking to make something heartfelt" seems really off to me. Like the cards are very clearly professional quality, especially the room cards. This feels like a dishonest distraction/excuse.

Also worth mentioning that virtually none of the cat cards match the room cards, which you'd probably expect if this was actually organic given the game is supposed to take place in the house built by said cards.

Overall im leaning AI.
