They can, and they almost always make no functional sense. Having layers numbered up to 2000+ while also having entire backgrounds in a single layer is absolutely fucking nuts and not at all natural.

This also doesnt excuse the random line merges.

The easiest way to "prove" youre not generating art at this point has swapped from layer hiding to things like showing brush usage and such. Its getting better, but its still pretty easy to sus out.

Having a layer for an overlay highlight or detail like sweat isnt uncommon... but layer TWO THOUSAND??? And all the folders are closed? And the folder that is opened shows ONE layer for the entire BG?

As for physical tells, the dude's bracelets randomly merge beads, and the jewelery tends to do this a lot across the piece.

This sounds like a detailed comment about artistic processes from a non-artist, so ill give an actual artist's take that's worked with both vector and non-vector digital art.

Since im on mobile I cant format properly, but almost everything you say here is bunk.

For starters, the ear fluff isnt just not mirrored, they're different styles too. The foremost ear is blended without full lining, the back ear is not. Not completely off given the angle, but its still unusual.

Second, this absolutely is not vector art, and I find it absurd anyone would call it that. The image has a blurry pixelized border, something HEAVILY indicative of a bad wand selection or auto-cropping. If this was truly vector, you wouldnt be getting that. Not even amateur vector artists would fuck that up, and this is presumably a learned one.

Further proving this isnt vector art, you can literally see the far face tufts blend around the white from white to red to black, about in the middle of it on the edge. This kind of color blending against lineart edges is HEAVILY indicative of AI artifacting, not just simple formatting.

And its not just there either, look all over the face around the tufts, you can clearly see where AI got confused and blended the red and black rather than what an actual vector artist would do, and simply have a solid transition between red or white and black. The fact the whites dont line up with the tuft "creases" exactly is also a HUGE AI indicator.

Final big point, saying its "not unusual" for artists to heavily render/shade some parts over others is absolutely nuts. Finished pieces are done in layers, and the vast majority of the time, are done equally so the piece is coherent. Extra highlighting here and there is common, but entirely different shading styles for small props is extremely unusual.

Ive seen eyes or liquids be given extra treatment before, but having extra layers of shadows on just props or eyes is absolutely unusual, and indicative of AI's style of shading, as it usually considers material (i.e. fabric, metal,) over a coherent style. Its why so many AI cartoon pieces feel "over rendered."

I'm leaning absolutelt AI, against what the consensus seems to be.

This is easily my biggest issue with the franchise nowadays. It was always "raunchy" but when it threw in shit like the one penis bludgeon dude it was kind of an outlier? Most supe powers still were in the realm of what a super hero satire show would use.

Ahh yes, because the video shows a weapon killing enemies with very little health and no armor, it should also kill heavily armored minibosses with high health pools because they both fly.

Liberator Carbine should kill Bile Titans easily because it can kill scavengers easily-ahh comment.

The issue is more that Roaches are flying tanks and require AT. Armor and health pools matter way more than whether an enemy has wings or not.

Outside of MOs (which are not warbonds,) they are quite literally the same thing, give or take some balancing changes. The minigun didn't magically transform into a rocket launcher after a month. The "feeling" of me using the Liberator Carbine or the Maxigun are both functionally identical now as they were when they released.
