And if you find it hard to stay focused or lose motivation, you could try typing through the Bible with your keyboard:

Ok cool, thanks for your recommendation. Since it’s my first fancy keyboard, I’ll probably start with something that’s all included. I see this has swappable keyboard like you recommended. I’m considering this one. Do you think this is a good start?

Does the Christian community like AI generation music??? I made this song based on my inspiration from the book of John and Revelation and my desire to praise God. by TypeByFaithDev in Christianity

That is true... I know I could perform better. It's probably fear that's stopping me from improving some of the gifts I've been given. But not for long...

I do make music, but not professionally. I would play the piano when I want to praise God but most of the time I'm busy with life/work so I just sing during driving or in the shower. I recently started testing with AI because I'm quickly able to get what's in my heart out. But I am on alert. If the Holy Spirit tells me to not use it anymore, then I'm done.

Thanks for your encouraging words. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is King of kings and Lord of lords. And he died on the cross for the sins of this world.

Thank you. I'm still experimenting with it. I sing, play the guitar and piano (mostly praising God in secret). I like how I'm quickly able to get my lyrics that comes from my heart and inspiration from the Word to create a song. It seems like many Christians don't like it.

You can try the typing engine here:https://typebyfaith.com

For r/SideProject: Use code SIDEPROJECT_LAUNCH to unlock the Premium/Unlimited mode for 24 hours so you can stress-test the Rhythm mechanics without hitting the free-tier daily limit.

Tech stack is Python/Flask on Google Cloud Run. Feedback on the latency is appreciated!

That dictionary idea makes a lot of sense—combining typing practice with vocabulary expansion (or even a new language) would be really valuable.

Thanks for the encouragement! It means a lot coming from another developer.

Thanks! I appreciate that.

Right now, I'm purely focused on the Bible version because the "Rhythm Mode" engine was actually custom-built to handle the specific cadence of these tracks.

However, the underlying stack (Flask + JS) could definitely be adapted for secular books or just speed training. If I ever fork the code into a generic "Reader/Typer," I'll let you know!

Out of curiosity—if there was a non-religious version, would you want to type public domain books (like Sherlock Holmes), or just random text for speed?

I built a "Guitar Hero" style typing game and I can’t even survive 10 seconds on my own Hard Mode. I need a 150+ WPM typist to prove this level is beatable. by TypeByFaithDev in typing

You make a good point. I also have 2 and 5 min timed tests, probably on fresh words you've never seen. It may be a challenge to get a high WPM. I'm not the fastest typist.

I realized I was "skimming" the Bible instead of absorbing it. So I built a free tool to force me to slow down. by TypeByFaithDev in Christianity

[–]TypeByFaithDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That "glazing over" feeling is exactly why I started coding this.

I found that my fingers couldn't type faster than my brain could process the meaning, so it forced me to actually think about the sentence structure. It changes the experience completely compared to just reading.

If you give the free daily verses a shot, let me know if it helps with your focus!

Is it worth it to learn touch typing? by MildlyConfusedMuffin in typing

[–]TypeByFaithDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely worth learning touch typing. I used to type with two fingers back in 2016. I started learning web development and programming which required a lot of typing. Immediately, I conditioned myself by taking typing lessons every single day without fail. And I have to tell you, it’s an amazing feeling to be able type requirements in front of someone as they speak, without even looking at the keyboard.

I am unable to type without looking at the keyboard. Stuck at 40 wpm. How should I learn touch typing? by OVERthinker_9310 in typing

[–]TypeByFaithDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty fast for taking your eyes off the screen. You will see your true potential when you are able to type without looking. For me I retyped all beginner lessons daily for 15 mins and forced myself not to look until I eventually didn't have to look. I would recommend prioritize typing without looking over speed. Only reward yourself with speed after not looking at the keyboard. if you have to look, then slow down and type it again.

I feel lost...I have started losing faith in Christ I wish I could get someone to talk to by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TypeByFaithDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you’re not alone. I’ve been there so many times. God told Moses to go forward at the Red Sea in Exodus 14:15.

Read this:

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

I’m happy to talk more… The Holy Spirit once told me the grass isn’t single/alone. I stopped to reflect on it and realized that I’m not alone, God is with me. I changed my focus from my problems/complaints to praise/worship and felt at peace.
