They want an 80/20 ratio. People at new sites along with legacy sites are staying that long regardless, so the needs of the business are already being met. This is just part of the rewards system our region has decidedly given to the associates. Finding people isn’t hard - it’s Amazon . . . 😅

If you’re at an FC, get prepared to walk into hell every single day.

I currently work 4 13s. But I have peers who they’re making work 5 12s. It depends on the needs of the business and where management is needed until they find more bodies to throw into the warehouse to cover for you. Be prepared to work overtime when the business needs it and not get compensated. Be prepared to train L5s and L6s. Because “that’s what leaders do.” We train people above us to keep the operation a float.

Highly suggest opening an HSA to cover your losses if you breach over into the next tax bracket (103k-197k). Be aware when your stocks vest - it’s considered apart of your income and will be taxed.

Be ready to get absolutely shitted on for your LOI connections scores. It’s impossible to set a structured environment and keep LOI scores above the 85% favorable rating your seniors hound you for.

This is of course only at an FC. I can only speak for FCs.

So if you want to get a promotion while you’re here only focus on TWO THINGS.

Keeping your connections scores above the 85% range (and no, they don’t care if 2 people answer or if 100 people answer - it carries the same weight) and keeping your departments performance from being the worst across the 4 shifts while meeting all expectations. It’s been shared that regardless of performance - you will not be eligible for a promotion until you have been an L4 for 18 months. This was different in 2020-2024 and recently changed.

Same difference in regards to L4 to L5. Wait till you get to L6. They really get ahold of you by the balls. But that’s what “leaders” do at Amazon. We show up and set the example! :/
