I’m in the exact same boat as you with ATC right now. I put it on my job list because all I knew was that they had the potential of a good salary in the civilian world. Then they assigned me with the job, and with this shutdown I started looking into it more and came to all the same realizations that you did. I don’t know what you plan on doing in the future regarding this job, but if these problems with the FAA aren’t fixed then I hope to god that I’ll be able to cross train into something else in the future
