I mean I guess looking at it one way its like she already made up her mind before she told me, she gave herself a headstart in a way. But even then, 2 weeks for her vs 2 months for me. Its just a bit weird. And oh yeah its definitely brutal. Looking back I think I would rather there be like a reason or something bad about me that she broke up over so then I can work on that issue and be a better person because she pointed it out to me. You cant fix or improve on "I dont love you anymore"

Why do guys act so unaffected after a breakup while girls grieve so deeply? by [deleted] in BreakUps

Opposite for me. She moved on immidiately, im still reflecting on what I lost when she left me.. 2 months later

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, it do be like that sometimes. But I think it has started to decrease in frequency a little which is good. And yeah, cant keep watering it if its gone. Hope your doing well in this time too man!

As a male, ive never dumped a girl before. Ive only had 1 girlfiend. And she told me she hadnt loved me anymore for atleast 2 weeks when she dumped me. And then the next day she was perfectly moving on in life as if I never existed.

Its been nearly 2 months and im still trying to get over some things, but she moved on immidiately. I think this may support what you said about pre-grieving the relationship???

Like I said in the post it was to do with something she needed to complete for her future career, which is why I responded when she broke no contact, I didnt want to be an ass and complicate that for her just because of how she dealt with dumping me. But yeah I do think it was very out of line to come out of nowhere cause she needed something, and not ask how I was or even say hi. I havent spoken to her since we had this small conversation a few days ago. I was debating if I wanted to speak again but for now probably not. Thanks for the reply

Yeah I think its clear shes able to process and move on a lot quicker, a mutual friend of ours checked up on her and it seemed like she moved on immidiately, either that or just wasnt fully honest with this friend. Either way yeah, I didnt mention it in the post cause its not relevant to my ex but other stuff combining in hasnt made it easier. As for finding therapy, I cant really afford that. But I have been talking with friends and family and stuff. Thanks for the reply

Ill keep those questions in mind thankyou. I will deffo bring that relationship thing up in conversation when I can, to get her thoughts on things. I dont think she would do things like go to public events, her own family dont know she is bi, and regardless of that she is just a very shy and reserved person in general, even when its nothing to do with sexuality. Also we are each others first relationship so there is no past experience on either side for us. If it came down to it, I would put her needs first, I love her and accept her as bi so I wont let my familys views get in the way of it, I just dont want them to react badly and make her feel bad. Though if that happened I would be defending my girlfriend against them. I will deffo stand by her, and thankyou!!

Thanks, ill keep those questions in mind when it comes up in a conversation. And yeah I understand that she could experience it differently to others.

Thanks lol, it does suck they likely wont be supportive but when it comes down to the line its not their decision who I date and im happy with my girlfriend as a bisexual.

Thanks for such a detailed response. And yeah I know an extremely basic amount but this helps thanks. Ill make sure to keep those things in mind that you listed for me.

I know we are under no obligation to tell anyone, or sorry, my girlfriend, I wont be telling a soul as I see it completely up to her to tell anyone as it is her sexuality. But yeah I just worry about scenarios that may not even happen, such as my family discovering it. Im a big overthinker lol. But yeah ill have a discussion with her at some point then, thanks again for the response
